AD&D 1e Reprints
As I am 3 days too late to not get busted for my Necromantic tendencies...
Has anyone heard any more on this? Will it be purchasable online in single book format, or only as a vendor buying by the case? The WotC site is an in-navigatable mess for me as I use a mobile device. But I am chomping at the bit for any new information!

Re: AD&D 1e Reprints
Same info as before: ''Available in limited quantities as a hobby channel exclusive in North America.'' And it's not showing up on Amazon - yet. You'll have to check online retailers to see if they become available, but every indication is still that the intent is to move them through brick and mortar only.
Come, visit the exotic desert beauty of the City of Zangiers!
(Just be sure to bring a sharp sword and sharper wits.)

Re: AD&D 1e Reprints
Man, that's no fun. My local shop doesn't touch D&D anymore, and I asked about this specifically.
I do hope 'hobby channel exclusive' doesn't mean that only folks signe up in some vendor's club with Hasbro... That would be a special kid of disappointing. Especially seeing as I recently turned down an old used copy in light of being able to buy a brand new one soon...

If you visit a few used book stores, you can probably find the original versions of these books for $10-$15 each. I've seen the 1E DMG and PHB in the last few days, while looking for some of the 2E books.

Re: AD&D 1e Reprints
Yeah, you can certainly find that stuff cheaper, but I think what a lot of us would like to do is send a clear message to WOTC that we like it when they reprint the old stuff, even as a "collectable" or whatever and encourage them to do more.
I'd really like it if they re-released the PDF's of the old AD&D products again. It was very stupid of them to yank it in the first place. It doesn't matter what game you're playing as long as you're having fun.

Re: AD&D 1e Reprints
Agreed. I went out a couple days ago and grabbed a bunch of stuff they arent reprinting; monster manual 2, fiend folio, unearthed arcana, dungeoneer'a guide, and I already own an old DMG. I held off on the players handbook because I wouldn't have the game ready to go before April anyway, but also because I want these prints specifically. I want to be tied to this age, where even amidst D&D next and 4e and Pathfinder and all that jazz, I folks are willing to pick up the old school books and go underground for treasure and glory.
Really need to talk to my local shop, get them to buy the books...
