Well I'm finally getting a chance to try out dnd 4e for the first time and have decided to play an assassin. A shade assassin. Oh yes i went there :P but having found the heroes of shadow book and taking a gander at the assassin executioner I'm like ooooo. I've only learned last night that it's an essentials class and still learning what that means. I'm wondering if there's any way to be a night stalker executioner? Without homebrew as I don't think my dm will allow it. As a side note, The assassin really reminds me of Shikimaru from Naruto.

Not really. You might convince your DM that they are different classes, and therefore you could make a hybrid Assassin / Executioner.

But i doubt it will work.
