No one got the MLP refrences until recently. I got stats in the works for an encounter with an archmage purple unicorn and a druid pegasus that commands swarms of killer butterflies.

Next week I will actually have some decent internet again and plan to try downloading the iTune versions. Does anyone know if just season one is available or if any of season two is out yet for download.

If nothing else I need to at least get the season finale of season 1. COME OUT! That right there had me laughing like crazy once a friend got me to give the show a chance.

Short Answer: No

Long Answer:
We know from statements from a rep for the DVD company that holds the license that both from Hasbro and their distributors and retailers that they want "theme releases" which means 4-5 episodes selected out of order to match whatever marketing scheme they cook up. So currently one can only buy "The Friendship Exspress" which is the premiere and a couple of episodes with a train in them to cross promote the toy train sold with the toys. However its a good collection and contains (so far) The Last Roundup with original audio naming Derpy. However their are no plans for a season box at this time, sadly while Hasbro is aware of us retailers continue to ghetto the show so it will need a lot of sales to be considered for season box. That's crap and corporate arse covering but it is what it is. So no season 1 collection or even successive volumes.

Finally there IS going to be Season 1 box collection available for sale... in Australia. You will need a Region 4 capable player should you import it.

Next week I will actually have some decent internet again and plan to try downloading the iTune versions. Does anyone know if just season one is available or if any of season two is out yet for download.

iTunes has the entire series available, in HD, and is the primary source of watermark free pony. Two warnings the first season has a reputation for washed out color in 720p (1080p which was only available later supposedly fixes this) and you might drag up a fix somewhere. Also its the location of the Derpygate editing fiasco you really don't want to get me going on. Just be sure you track down the original version of the Last Roundup and skip Se2Ep14 in your purchase. New episodes are available on iTunes normally within a few days.

Hearts and Hooves leaked the Wednesday before it aired on the Hub, it is now normalized.

This has been a source of frustration to me for years. The studios claiming that there is not a "market" for season sets and continualy releasing "favorite collections". Yet every poll of fans of "any" series (that I've seen at least) shows that most fans would prefer the entire season. I would imagine that for most thier reason is the same as mine. What one fan likes, another might hate. The "Directors Choice" collections tend to be the worst of all.

Finally there IS going to be Season 1 box collection available for sale... in Australia. You will need a Region 4 capable player should you import it.

I used to have a region 0 DVD player, it looks like I will need to get a new one, except Australia also uses PAL format so I may need to look into getting a multi format TV as well.

I make it a habit of not buying pirated versions of anything if the real one is available so I will look for a copy of the DVD that does have s2#14 "The Last Roundup" on it through eBay (either with the toy or by itself).

This should be endlessly frustrating to the stockholders of Hasbro. A company has a wildly succesful show with a market demographic that exploded for beyond its goals, and they waited so long to even think about releasing it on DVD that now it actually is a cost/revenue issue due to piracy/downloads. The producers of "Lost" released the season 1 DVDs before season 2 was even on the air. That's the way to make money people.

To be fair, we will try to corrupt your mind with ponies, but only in the good way. This forum is actually a really solid community even outside of this thread, and the haters tend to adopt the "live and let live" approach as long as the pony doesn't leak out into other threads. Yesterday being the exception, obviously. There were a couple haters among all the new folks that came here to pay tribute to their new pony overlords congratulate us and one or two posted some of the nasty stuff but the mods cracked down lickety-split.

But as long as we're on the subject of pony images...
