    Weaponmaster

    Requirements
To qualify to become a weaponmaster, a character must fulfill all the following criteria.

    BaB: +5
    Class levels: Fighter 3+

    {table=head]Level|BAB|Fort|Ref|Will|Special

    [/table]
    Alignment: Any
    Hit Die: d8

    Class Skills:
Balance (Dex), Bluff (Cha), Craft (Int), Escape Artist (Dex), Jump (Str), Listen (Wis), Spot (Wis), and Tumble (Dex)
Skill Points at Each Level: 2 + Int modifier

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: A weaponmaster gains proficiency with all weapons, even improvised ones.

Bonus Feat: At every weaponmaster level, you may select a bonus feat from the fighter bonus feat list. You may ignore all prerequisites except anterior feat requirements (for instance, to gain Greater Cleave you don't need a Str score of 13 or higher, but you still need to have gained Cleave and Power Attack).

You may, instead, refuse to gain a bonus feat. At every level that you do this, you gain a stacking untyped +2 bonus to melee and ranged weapon damage rolls, and an untyped +1 stacking bonus to AC.

Greater Finesse (Ex): A level 1 weaponmaster adds both his dex mod and his str mod to the damage rolls of all weapons made for a creature of his size category that he uses.

Universal Focus (Ex): A level 2 weaponmaster is treated as having Weapon Focus with all weapons. This counts as a prerequisite for other feats.

Universal Specialization (Ex): A level 3 weaponmaster is treated as having Weapon Specialization with all weapons. This counts as a prerequisite for other feats.

Large Weapon Wielder (Ex): A level 4 weaponmaster may treat himself as 1 size category larger for the purpose of wielding larger weapons only.

Thrust (Ex): A level 5 weaponmaster can deal piercing damage with all weapons that can normally deal only slashing damage. Additionally, when he deals piercing damage with a weapon that is normally intended for piercing damage, he ignores the first 10 points of DR and/or hardness of the target.

Battle Round (Ex): A level 6 weaponmaster may declare, at the beginning of his round, that he is taking a battle round. During a battle round, the weaponmaster can take 2 standard actions, but those are the only standard actions available to him: armed attack in melee, bull rush, feint, overrun, sunder, trip, or total defense. Also, except for armed attack in melee, he may not do any of the above actions twice in the same round.

Respectable Finish (Ex): A level 7 weaponmaster, when making a full attack, gains a +5 competence bonus to the attack roll of his last attack.

Parry (Ex): A level 8 weaponmaster, when attacked by an opponent in melee, may substitute his AC with an attack roll. If he has a bonus to AC from not taking bonus feats, it applies to the parry as well. If his attack roll is equal to or higher than the opponent's, the attack misses.

Universal Lethality (Ex): A level 9 weaponmaster is treated as having Improved Critical with all weapons.

Legendary Weaponmaster (Ex): A level 10 weaponmaster always deals maximized damage with weapon damage dice and cannot be disarmed.

Parry is powerful. Battle Round has potential. The rest just make the class hit marginally harder - something that is absolutely not a problem already. Hitting harder doesn't really add anything to the game in general or the fighter class in specific.

Which is a problem when you're looking for variety.

But the purpose of a PrC is not to make a class more varied.

Umm....yes, it is. It's to give access to abilities or concepts that would not otherwise be possible for the base class alone. "Beats face harder" is already pretty well and truly covered, and this doesn't even help with that all that much.

Actually...base classes are the ones that should offer incredible variety. Prestiges specialize. And yea sure it helps...bigger weapons, dex to damage, can attack twice without full attack, can actually have a chance to hit with the last hit of a full attack, proficient with all exotics, and +20 to damage if you don't take the bonus feats.
