After the War IC, Harry Potter d20
Five Aurors have broken through the sitting room door; one of them dove behind a couch while another ducked behind a column to gain cover. The other three are remaining on their feet and moved through the doorway. They shouted “Aurors, drop your wands!” They have their wands pointed at you, holding it firmly, but without mastery. Their stance is not the battle stance an Auror would take, nor is their grip the grip of an Auror. Their voice is strong, but overconfident. They look young, and what’s more, they look inexperienced. ‘Ha, looks like we got some more. Malfoy’s Intelligence was right.’ One of them says. He sounds young.
Thankfully the portrait gave you all enough time to prepare for a battle.

Re: After the War IC, Harry Potter d20
One of the Death Eaters stands impassively, ignoring the distractions of the portrait and the squad of aurors who so rudely burst in the middle of his meditations. He wears a thick hooded robe, and his eyes are covered with a white blindfold with two eyes crudely drawn.
Malthus sighed. "Yellowed hearts shown in yellowed hair. Fools rush in, who do not grasp their fates." He says, in a carrying whisper.Malthus reaches out with his Sight to grasp at all the possible futures, selecting the one in which the aurors died the fastest. Underneath his blindfold, Malthus's eyes were wide open, staring out at the aurors, reading the shifing colors he could see around them.
OOC:
SpoilerI read the auras of everyone present. Or within 140 ft, thus revealing most hidden enemies.
Confident in his abilty to survive the auror's assault, Malthus gingerly withdraws his wand from the folds of his robe, and prepares to throw up a shield at the next person to attempt to hex him.
OOC:
SpoilerDraw wand and ready an action to cast Protego.

Re: After the War IC, Harry Potter d20
Elizabeth's hands grasp tightly onto the slender length of her wand, a gaze over the top of the couch enough for her to know the invaders of their haven. She was close enough to repel most attacks at the rest of her comrades, and the so-called Aurors were clumped together in one spot; a mistake that she hoped her allies would capitalize on.
A single incantation was muttered, low on a hanging breath. "Defodio."

Re: After the War IC, Harry Potter d20
Avitus gnashed his teeth with surprise as the Aurors burst through the doors. He rolled off the sofa and rose to his feet, eleven inches of black yew appeared in his right hand as if it apparated there. Since three of the fools stood so close together Avitus wasted no time whipping his hand back. In his mind he summoned the blood curdling rage he held for every member of the Ministry. It was surprisingly easy all he had to do was think of his maimed wife.
His blond hair stood on end and his blue eyes shined with menace. No one else existed in the room except for the three Aurors he wanted to hurt, maim, and kill. That was the beautiful thing about the worst curses, you really truly had to have the desire to cause harm for them to work. He lashed out with his rage and roared, "AVADA KEDAVRA!"
The sudden rush of wind like in a train tunnel tore through the room in a blaze of green light.

Re: After the War IC, Harry Potter d20
The green light lights up the room, and strikes the centermost Auror squarely in the chest. He is dropped like a sack of potatoes.
Oh my God! They killed Kenny! Shouted one of the men behind him.
He's dead! I didn't sign up for this! Screw Kingsley, I'm going home! The Auror closest to the door sprints out the room.
"I'm going to kill that bastard, Locomotor Wibbly!" A violent light stikes Avitus and his legs turn to jelly beneath him. He is just able to glance and see that the Auror that hit him ran a threw himself behind a chair.
More shouting and lights:
Stupefy!, Stupefy! Both aimed at The Flea, but missing wildly.
Petrificus Totalus!, Petrificus Totalus! Thomas' hands and legs clamp together and falls over, stiff as a board. The man behind the column laughs gleefully. Eat it! Ha ha!

Re: After the War IC, Harry Potter d20
"They are alone." Malthus states in a montone, "More will be upon us shortly. I will determine how soon shortly."
Malthus opens his mind to the future, looking deeply into the next minutes, gleaning as much information as he can about his opponents actions before acting. Then, not sparing a second to aim, (or posessing any need to) he raises his wand at where, in a matter of seconds, one of the aurors will poke his head out of his cover.
"Avada Kedavera." He whispers, not bothering with the drama so many wizards were so fond of. Shouting might make is difficult to percieve the curses he knew would shortly come towards him.
To counteract the numerous possibilities resulting in his injury, Malthus walks over to the nearest item of cover, apparently unperturbed by the spells whizzing through the air.

Avitus sliced through the curse flung at him and broke from his cover behind the couch toward the wall to get a shot at the Auror behind the column toward the far south war. He hit the wall and his slashed wand through the air and cried out,

Re: After the War IC, Harry Potter d20
As Avitus slashes downwards, the Auror rises her wand, but is still utterly crushed by the spell. The spell comes down like a sword onto its victim. The bright red blood is visible in the air and splatters the south wall. For a moment the woman swaggers, but then falls to her knees, then flat on her face, as if she were too tired to go on.
The Auror nearest her, a man with blonde hair steps over to his fallen comrade and yells, I'll get you for that! Stupefy! Still gleeful from his attack, the bright red light takes Avitus by suprise, and the experienced duelist fails to get his wand up in time. It strikes him in the heart and he falls over, unconsious.
"Bastard!", The Auror spits before saying "Episkey!" over the woman. The woman wakes up. "W-what happen?" She is able to pick herself up and sit her back onto the wall, as she still shaky and bleeding from the damage she took.
Meanwhile, the Auror behind the pillar casts a bit more aggressively. Expelliarmus! Expelliarmus! Thankfully, one of the red jets of light it goes wide, while the other nearly hits Mathus, who was only shaved by the couch used as cover. Only Mathus and the Flea remain standing against the remaining Aurors.

Re: After the War IC, Harry Potter d20
OOC:
SpoilerOh! It was my turn! Sorry for the delay.
"This could have gone better." Mathus states, not bothering to speak in riddles. Maybe it was a rare moment of lucidity from the oracle. Or maybe he just had nothing to say.
Malthus carefully pointed his wand at the female auror, doing his best to stay solidly behind cover. He wasn't used to having to aim his spells, so much as line up the correct future for them to hit.
"Stupefy." he whispered, then switched his aim to the auror that revived her. "Stupefy"

Re: After the War IC, Harry Potter d20
The Flea growls softly to herself as the duelist of her team goes down and the Aurors push their advantage. Though she could hardly complain about their lack of competence, considering she had yet to launch a successful spell, probably due to stress on her subconscious.
She points her wand at Avitus. "Re-enervate."

Re: After the War IC, Harry Potter d20
Avitus awakens, hops ups and resumes the battle as if he were uninterrupted. "You shall fall blood traitor! Sectumsempra!" The Auror raises his wand in defense, but is slashed nonetheless. His chest is gashed. He screams unintelligibly ”Urghhh! Stupefy! Stupefy!’ Avitus raises his wand and negates the first spell, as the second fails to materialize.
The woman Auror on the ground stands herself up, and points her wand at Avitus, but does not move otherwise.
The Auror behind the pillar continues to assault both Malthus and the Flea. Expelliarmus! Expelliarmus! Thanks to the flea's gift, she is able to evade the spell. Malthus is not so lucky, and his arm is grabbed by the red light. His wand is ripped from his grasp, and flies 10 feet forward. The spell was powerful enough, indeed, to knock him back 10 feet, though he is still standing.
