• Experience: 2000 XP for character creation. I prefer player characters with a bit of a chance. Use it wisely.
• Wealth: Standard rules for your initial equipment and Influence for In Game transactions.
• Ability Scores: Allocating Points, according to the Core Rulebook

You may NOT use the alternate background features in OotA's appendix.

Character Creation: I personally use Myth Weavers but you do what works for you as long as everyone else can access it.

• Backstory: The nature of OotA means that no backstory is required
• Experience: Starting at 1st level.
• Wealth: Described in Google Doc
• Ability Scores: 27 point buy or standard array
• Hitpoints/Health: Max at 1st level, rolled after that.
• Alignment: No NE or CE. LE is allowed but I'd prefer if you didn't.
  

Multiclassing is allowed but I'd prefer if you didn't outside of the actual gestalt. Because this is a test drive, I might need to edit the gestalt rules. If I do edit them, I'll notify the players of that edit. Edits to the gestalt rules won't occur in the middle of combat.

Other Notes: This campaign is set in a city, called Ashei, it is the last spark of light in a dying world. Over 400 years ago, a powerful mage named Rain, opend a portal to the 9 hells, in which the unite grand army of over 5 million strong marched on the 9 hells. They reached the 9th level and when everyone thought that all darkness was going to be snuffed from the world, all past and present lords of the 9 hells, united and killed every soldier of this grand crusade.
When the demons pushed back, the city's had no defenders. they all fell one by one, until the last city, a Bastion of light, The only true light in the darkness was the only one left. The refugees poured into this city, Mages and Constructers worked in haste to build, and expand the city to house and provide for the millions of refugees flooding in from all over the continent. Then, Eventually, the world. The City is now the only source of good left.
You are a member of the consortium. An Organization based in secret, tasked with the destruction of the source of power and shielding of the City. a great Sun located above the highest tier of the city, is The Last Sacraficial Gift from Bahamut, His essence, is the Flaming Orb, and all territory under the light is under its protection. At the very edge of the Light is a wall made out of Blessed stone and each watch tower, every 100 yards, has a miniature orb protecting it, A sacrafice of all the Ancient Golden Dragons that ever protected Bahamut, past and present at the time of the "Collapse" Every Ancient Dragon when it begins to die now sacrafices itself to provide another orb of defense along the wall, a last sacrafice to the cause of Order, Light and their God.

The extreme vast majority of the city is Good understaning the need for sacrafice for all to live.

Maps of the city, and Social Organizations will be available when players are selected and Roleplaying begins.

Master of the Adventurers' Guild in Caer Beriss is in dire need of qualified adventurers, who are willing to take on one of the following tasks:

• to locate, open and search the Barrow of Siviniak (called the Sinister for absolutely no reason!) carved into a mountainside by forces unknown. The barrow has been lost for several hundreds of years and should contain a prized relic, which the questgiver asked for.
• explore Misty Islands, which should contain remains of lost civilization (still protecting their lands) and ancient artifact required by the crown prince himself as a wedding gift.
• finding the lost city of Waloran inside the jungles of Nixa. It is said to contain a large golden statuette (rumored to be cursed, but who believes this stuff...?), which should be brought to Caer Beriss to improve the collection of lord Slaterly.
• venture to the Ragass wastelands, hoping to find the Beacon of Everlasting Light. And light it. Also, it should contain a dragon's heart (most probably near some dragon...), required by the king's wizard.

...and the Adventurers' Guild is low on staff currently.

Type of Game: New World of Darkness (exact splat to be determined by player-ST consensus)
How we will play: We will utilize roll20.net, which has an in-built set of various nWoD character sheets and various other goodies to aid rp. The game will be in real time, through the usage of roll20.net's inner chat.
Number of players I am looking for: 4-5, all slots open at the moment
What can you expect from the game: intense storytelling with a focus on personal horror, but we will discuss personal comfort zones before the game start. I am a very hands-off Storyteller and I prefer my players having some initiative, but I am willing to do a little hand-holding if necessary. The chronicle will have numerous plots and subplots, but the players can decide which ones they wish to pursue or ignore. My approach to Storytelling is the Living World method: I strive to create an environment that feels alive and realistic, a place that goes on with or without player intervention, thereby creating the illusion of immersion. Thus, my games often feel like (occult) Slices of Life. Of course, I am willing to present an overarching narrative if necessary, and I always have at least a few subplots going on to keep things interesting. NPCs have their own dreams and ambitions and while they will react to player actions, I am fond of them being proactive. Thus, new plotlines will organically occur as the game goes on. But I am never going to railroad, since that is contrary to my ST philosophy. Also, no "alignment" restrictions whatsoever. If someone wants to play for example a Tremere Lich, a Belial's Brood or a Centimani, I am not going to hold him back. However, I expect serious rp chops from these players and stupid missteps will often have many negative consequences. For further clarification, I prefer mixing the gamelines, so several splats will be present in the chronicle. However, for the sake of sensibility, I encourage my players to be of the same splat. Special exemptions can be granted if you make a good enough case of why your concept requires a certain splat.
What type of players I am looking for: I impose no particular requirements, besides a desire to participate in the game. Prior knowledge of WoD is not necessary at all. After all, it helps reducing the chances of accidentally using OOC knowledge.
What do you need for the game: Not much. I have access to 99% of all nWoD publications and can furnish you with the required data on request.

Experience with Vampire the Masquerade and/or classic World of Darkness not vital. Only VtM Core Book [3rd or 20th] needed for play [and that's mainly for character generation].
