Guidelines to create good RP characters
Hi there. I am soon starting a new steampunk campaign, and i wanted to focus the story a lot on the characters.
I've asked my players to make beliavable, real characters, with a story, weaknesses and many hooks.
Some time ago, i read on this forum a list of questions that could be useful in creating a character and to make it more complete.
However i can't find it anymore :(
Does anyone still have a link to that thread, or some other guideline that i can pass over to my players to help them out?
Thanks!Last edited by Madeiner; 2012-11-05 at 03:52 AM.

Re: Guidelines to create good RP characters
There's the Ten Minute Background here.
I'd recommend finding a couple of different ones and letting your player choose which one to fill in. Or you could ask your players to write down what their character would do in situations x, y, and z, these being relevant to the campaign. I find it easier to express a character's personality in how they react to the world around them than to express it in terms of the answers to a list of questions I couldn't necessarily answer about myself.
