I prefer swimming because, with all the water you're going through, sooner or later you'll run into a lily pad.

May aswell use the speed advantages till you meet a swamp, boats also allow you to "auto travel" as in put something on the key and sit back and watch the ocean roll by (watch out for squid tho)

Long ago in ancient china, there was a massive fleet of ships, 300 strong. The fleet had ships to carry horses, ships of fresh water, ships full of troops and weaponry. But the centerpiece of this fleet were the massive treasure ships. This treasure fleet sailed under the banner of the Yongle Emperor, under the command of a trusted admiral by the name of Zheng He. He sailed this ship all up and down the coastline, landing in Vietnam, India, and as far west as Africa. Wherever he landed, he met with emperors, dignitaries, kings and chiefs, asking for tribute from the lands he encountered. When he returned, his ships were heavy with treasure. Gold, silver, spices, and even exotic animals. Some even believe that he may have made landfall on the western shore of North America.

So, consulting records and several models, I decided to recreate one of the massive treasure ships in minecraft. The ship is, in total, 146 meters long, and 57 meters wide. It has nine masts, four full decks, and five partial decks.

New project: A xixecal. It's shell is mostly done. All I have to do is add the arms and then fill it in. I was hoping I could get a hand with the grunt work of filling it in, anyone who wants to help would be welcome.

Is there a user log that can be checked? I know in the last 4 hours Admiral Squish and I were on and there was another guy on when I logged in. I can't remember what his name was, it had an 'x' in it and he asked me if the server was dead. I can't say he is responsible, as I don't think I went near the spawn location today.

Yeah, someone greifed spawntown. Signs tell me that possible culprits are CaptainSkill, MAGNU101, Viglet8, and Monster464 (Collectively). Griefers will be drawn and quartered.

Edit: Does anyone have any info on these people or seen them recently? Also, /home is still broken.

Since I know you're on FTB, just as a heads up, I know some of the 1.1.2 packs have some crash issues between MFR Rednet, Forge Multipart, and Wireless Redstone. I'm probably too late for the party, though, and you've probably sorted that out. But thanks for asking, I was about to ask the same.

Yea, I got asked to hang a 'tech support' tag on my name over at the FTB forums. Basically, there was a crash bug with Multipart and Wireless Redstone. The latest version of WRCBE fixes this, but it hasn't gotten out to the 'official' packs yet. It is suggested that you not use WRCBE until the pack updates with the non-crashy version.

If I don't hold the Shift button and try to put a lever on the rednet cable, or I don't hit the redspot in the middle exactly, it crashes. (Unleashed.)

Frankly, I don't pay attention to crashes anymore. I'd never get anything done.

i have learned a very valuble lesson in my first ever attempt at pixel art.

don't try to cover every different shade of pixel on your refference immage. the end result will not turn out well.


realizing that, i tore the whole thing down and i'll probably re-colour some pixels in the refference immage to give me fewer shades so i'm not trying to mess around with dark gray wool, light gray wool, stone blocks, and clay, trying to get the right shade of gray, when most of them don't work out too well together.

x_Dissipate has been pinpointed as the spawn griefer, his actions will be rolled back to the best of my ability, and he will be banned, if there are any objections against this action, please write an appeal to either me or Sapo, and we will read and discuss the appeal for an unban. I will be following up more on the grief reports from Captain Skill and Monster464. Further posts will follow if any actions are made.

Phhase, those names: CaptainSkill, MAGNU101, Viglet8, Monster464 had been caught as previous griefers, actions have been taken against them, which ones I cannot recall, but they have been banned, those that haven't I forgot about the signs, left them there for those who did it and read, so that I also wouldn't forget the names. Yet those signs were there before the griefing. No worries. I will still check their last actions to make sure nothing happened.Thanks for the inquiring of the signs.

Mod Talk: I like Mine Factory Reloaded for many reasons, but for none so much as Vine Scaffolding. Six vines in a door pattern nets you a quarter stack of free-standing vines which blend beautifully into the jungle. A bit too well on occasion. :D

Also, I discovered with the FTB Launcher, I don't need Multi-MC. It generates a new instance of MC for each mod pack I play with. Which is kind of awesome.

You only just found that.. Wow I've been enjoying that since it started. The Tekkit launcher does the same thing.

And I upgraded to 1.6.2 on Regular minecraft and found that its new launcher does a similar thing so I can play new stuff and still access the server with the old one
