So, whaddya think malak sounds like?
just kind of random, but I am debating on what I think malak's voice, in and ot of vamp mode sounds like. Kind of leaning towards it being a soft spoken whisper in normal mode, but then he starts hissing his words when he goes vampire mode, though I may just be flanderising him because of his lizardfolk appearance.

All I know is that it is not "shaky" anymore.

Re: So, whaddya think malak sounds like?
(minor SoD spoiler)
Immediately after his transformation into a lich, Xykon comments on his voice having picked up a reverb effect and compares himself to James Earl Jones. So I've always assumed that if there's a specific sound meant for the black-and-white undead speech bubble, that would be it.

Re: So, whaddya think malak sounds like?
I'm wondering why so many people misspell his name. I mean, it's easy to misspell something like Zz'dtri, but Malack? Or is it intentional and I just don't get why?
There must be some sense of order - personal, political or dramatic - and if no one else is going to bring it to this world, I will.

Re: So, whaddya think malak sounds like?
Before, whispery, hissy, weak.
Now, a strong and masterful hiss with a bit of undead hollowness to it.Spoiler
So the song runs on, with shift and change,
Through the years that have no name,
And the late notes soar to a higher range,
But the theme is still the same.
Man's battle-cry and the guns' reply
Blend in with the old, old rhyme
That was traced in the score of the strata marks
While millenniums winked like campfire sparks
Down the winds of unguessed time. -- 4th Stanza, The Bad Lands, Badger Clark

In my head at least he sounds like Justice from Afro Samurai.

Re: So, whaddya think malak sounds like?
Maybe a more-masculine version of Bonnie Tyler? (Shaky speech bubble ofc. I'm assuming all undead sound vaguely similar since they use negative energy to talk or something like that.)

Re: So, whaddya think malak sounds like?
For some reason I imagine that he sounds like Christoph Waltz, the german guy from Inglorious Bastards and Django Unchained. Very mellow and gentile in everyday speech but screw him over and then the monster comes out.

Re: So, whaddya think malak sounds like?
I always thought rather androgynous, but definitely erudite, someone who enunciates each word with crispness. Not resonant, but breathy, ironically enough. Not someone who speaks quickly.

Re: So, whaddya think malak sounds like?
I imagine his voice being something like a guttural hiss, if there is such a thing.

Re: So, whaddya think malak sounds like?
My first thought was Billy Bob Thornton, but Hannibal Lector would fit better.

Re: So, whaddya think malak sounds like?
I always thought Malack sounded like Roddy McDowell. If any of you remember the old Disney cartoon movie "The Jungle Book," there is a big python in it named Kaa. Kaa's voice works perfectly for Malack.
