    Default Battleborn Cuddler(Sacred Something derivative)

    For certain reasons, this will not include most the fluff...
    Probably the most over powered out of combat healer ever reasonably devised...
    Warning, the following material is rated PG-13 for implied content. Implied. It should be fine.
    If it further helps my case, this is heavily modified from an existing 5 level prestige class.

    Without further ado:
    This in turn, is also modified from the Sacred Something.

    I wanted to play a Sacred Something, but I just didn't think I wanted the full class. So I made it into a bloodline. Then the Crasher, and combined the two. It still didn't feel right, so I went full Sacred Something with Dragon Descendant bloodline... still not right.

    I need to post this a little early. I think it's done, but I didn't re-check. I'll add Invocations later, along with custom invocations related to the nature of their cuddling.




    Battleborn Cuddler.

    Class Skills:
    Appraise (Int), Bluff (Cha), Craft (Int), Diplomacy (Cha), Heal (Wis), Listen (Wis), Perform (Somekinda' technique)(Cha), Profession (Wis), Sense Motive (Wis), Sleight of Hand (Dex), Spot (Wis), and Use Rope (Dex).

    Class Features:

    Weapons and Armor Proficiency:
    The Battleborn Cuddler is proficient with simple weapons and a single weapon of their choice. They are proficient with no armor or shields.

    Aura of Ease (Ex):
    At 1st level, a Battleborn Cuddler's dedication the her cause radiates an aura that makes others feel more comfortable, especially in regards to certain matters. The Battleborn Cuddler adds her class levels to all Bluff and Diplomacy checks that have a certain component to them, including seductions, flirtation, and using certain traits to get her way. She gains +2 deflection bonus to AC at 3rd, 6th, 9th, 12th, and 15th.

    Special Talent (Ex):
    At 1st level, a Battleborn Cuddler can cuddle with a partner. When doing so, they tap into divine power to grant a benefit. Choose one of the following:
    • (Divine) Gather Information: The partner can make a Gather Information check about Cuddler without ever leaving the Battleborn Cuddler's side.
    • (Arcane) Knowledge: The partner gains a bit of divine insight. He or she gains a +5 sacred bonus to a knowledge skill for 24 hours.
    • (Healing) Heal: The partner can benefit from the Heal skill using the Battleborn Cuddler 's heal skill +5, and made as if she took 10 on the check.

    To benefit from this ability, the Battleborn Cuddler and her partner must engage in cuddles for at least 20 minutes (Constitution check DC 15) requiring a perform (cuddle) at the end of the 20 minutes at a DC 15. If both checks succeed the partner benefits from the selected use.


    Blessings:
    The Battleborn cuddler gains blessings, which function as Invocations. Unless otherwise specified, casting a Blessing is a standard action with a DC = 10+1/2 Cuddler Level+Cha mod. They do not require material, verbal, or somatic components if cast while cuddling. Blessings are effectively at-will unless otherwise determined. Even when not cuddling, they don't require somatic components.


    Special Healing I (Su) (Healing):
    Starting at 2nd level, a Battleborn Cuddler 's certain acts have beneficial effects on their partners. The subject must engage in cuddling for at least 20 minutes, requiring a constitution check DC 15. The Battleborn Cuddlerr, or her partner, must make a Perform (cuddle )(DC 15) check after the act. If successful, the subject is healed for 1d8+1/level+Cha and cured of any and all of the following adverse conditions:
    Confused, Dazed, Dazzled, Exhausted, Fatigued, nauseated, sickened, and stunned.
    In addition, the Battleborn Cuddler's partner is healed a number of ability damage equal to the Battleborn Cuddler's charisma modifier. This healing occurs to only one ability score at a time. The power of the Battleborn Cuddler even heals ability damage brought on by class features. Special Healing removes all negative moral penalties the creature has. A separate Perform (cuddle) check must be made for a second Ability score. A Battleborn Cuddler may use this ability with another Battleborn Cuddler, though only one may gain the benefit of this effect at any one time.

    • Special Healing II (Su):
      At 4th level, a Battleborn Cuddler's healing ability becomes more powerful. This is as the special healing I ability listed above, but in addition, the act also dispels curses as if by remove curse of the Battleborn Cuddler's level. Special healing II also cures wounds as if by cure serious wounds, with a caster level equal to the Battleborn Cuddler's total level. Special Healing II requires 30minutes of sustained cuddling.
    • Special Healing III (Su):
      At 8th level, a Battleborn Cuddler's healing ability becomes more powerful. This is as special healing I and II abilities listed above, with the added effect of functioning as remove disease and this restores health as if by Cure Critical Wounds that can restore two ability scores at a time for a number of points equal to her Charisma modifier. III requires 40minutes of sustained cuddling.
    • Special Healing IV (Su):
      At level 13, The Battleborn Cuddler's healing ability further increases. By spending the same 20 minutes at a Perform (cuddling) DC of 25 with a dead body deceased 24 hours or less, the Battleborn Cuddler can cast Raise Dead at no material cost (totally not necrophilia) as the corpse's faculties slowly come back online until its life is returned to it. The subject loses one level as normal.
      If used on a Living partner, she can give them the benefit of a Heal spell.
      For instead of IV the Battleborn Cuddler can perform as III with the following extra benefit; the partner can leave the scene feeling newly invigorated; The partner gains the effects of Bulls Strength, Cats Grace, or Bears Endurance for 24 hours. IV requires 50minutes of sustained cuddles. Perform (cuddle )(DC 20)
    • Special Healing V (Su)
      Special Healing now grants the effects of Regenerate throughout the certain activity, and at a DC 25 Perform (cuddle) the partner is healed as if by Restoration Greater at no XP cost.
      As with all features save for spellcasting and Aura of Special Ease, it requires at least 20 minutes of cuddling before the Greater Restoration kicks in.
      If she performs this on a dead body the time limit for which it has been dead is one year per level and it acts like True Resurrection so long as a portion remains at least the size of a finger, minimum. The material cost is supplied by whoever is paying for the cuddle and they just look pretty nearby or who knows, maybe the diamonds get in on the act as well (sounds like a crazy dream XD).
      Special Healing V cannot resurrect someone who has died of Old Age, but if used on a living person they will grow younger by 5% their total age per Battleborn Cuddler level to the age there race becomes an adult. This takes away penalties to aging but not the benefits however they can only benefit from each age categories bonuses once. V requires 60minutes of sustained cuddles.


    Bonus Feats:
    At every indicated level, the Battleborn Cuddler gains a bonus ["cuddle"] feat that she meets the requirements for.

    Cuddly body:
    At the indicated levels, the Battleborn Cuddler's charisma is glorified. Her body changes, and the knowledge she possesses and skill she wields is evident in her form or posture, lush, soft, and warm for the perfect cuddle. She receives a +1 bonus to charisma at the given levels, which originates purely through divine ascendancy and does not count against any other bonuses. This charisma boost is due to a vibrant, lush, and healthy body. Thus, every two charisma boosts you gain one boost to constitution.

    Special Communion (Su) (Divine):
    The primary role of the Battleborn Cuddler is to act as a liaison between worshipers and their deity. While engaging in cuddles with a person, a Battleborn Cuddler can act as a conduit with their deity, gaining bits of wisdom to the person they couple with. To use this ability, the Battleborn Cuddler must engage in cuddles for at least 20 minutes, after which time she may cast Divination, with a maximum chance of success (90%), eschewing material components. However, the divination must deal directly with the person she is engaging in certain activities with and the question must be asked before the act occurs. A Battleborn Cuddler may not use this ability to determine her own future, although she may perform the act with another Battleborn Cuddler to glean such information.

    • Special Communion I (Su):

      At tenth level, the Battleborn Cuddler can better act as a connection to her partner's deity.
      This functions as Special Communion I, however up to one question can be answered per Battleborn Cuddler level as if by the spell Commune. However, no XP component is required and the holy water material component is supplied by... alternative means.
      As with Communion I, The Battleborn Cuddler cannot divine Cuddler about herself. Questions that are directly about the Battleborn Cuddler asked by the partner fail and are skipped. Also as with Communion I, a Battleborn Cuddler can still get these questions by partnering with a different Battleborn Cuddler. But only one can benefit from the questions at a time. II requires 30minutes of cuddles.
    • Special Communion III (Su):
      At level 14, the Battleborn Cuddler can open itself to her partner's deity who can fill her mind with the knowledge her partner seeks.
      This effect functions like Communion I, but she can use Discern Location instead of Divination.
      Alternatively, they can repeat the session once a day for 5 days with no benefit until the fifth to gain the effects of Legend Lore at no material cost or focus. III requires 40minutes of sustained cuddles.
    • Special Communion IV (Su):
      As special Communion I but instead of Divination, the partner can benefit from Foresight for 24 hours and before the act begins they can designate anyone they know as the subject of the Foresight (See "Foresight", the subject in this case being who the partner wishes to know about.). IV requires 50minutes of sustained cuddles.


    Restorative Act(Su) (Arcane):
    At 5th level, once per day, a Battleborn Cuddler may engage in cuddles with a spellcaster, restoring any spell slots that he may have used for that day. The Battleborn Cuddler, or her partner, must make a Perform (cuddle) check against a DC equal to 10+the spellcaster's class level. On a success, the spellcaster's spells are restored as if he had prepared spells (Like a wizard or ranger) or meditated as normal (like a cleric, sorcerer, or other spontaneous caster). They must engage in cuddles for at least 20 minutes, requiring a separate stamina check. Failure indicates that the restorative act did not work and the spellcaster maintains the same number of spells available for that day as before the act. A Battleborn Cuddler may use this ability with another Battleborn Cuddler, though only one may regain spells at a time.
    • Restorative Act II (Su):
      At level 11, a Battleborn Cuddler's ability to replenish spells increases. She can use Restorative Act twice a day. One caster cannot benefit from the effect more then once per day however.
      Restorative Act can now also effect noncasters, replenishing a partner's daily uses of racial traits or class features. II requires 40minutes of sustained cuddles.
    • Restorative Act III (Su)
      As with II, but the Battleborn Cuddler gains an extra use per day. She can now restore three people this way per day. III requires 40minutes of sustained cuddles.
    • Restorative Act IV (Su):
      As with II, but the Battleborn Cuddler gains more uses per day.
      She can now use Restorative Act 3+Cha times per day.
      In addition, for 24 hours they can benefit from a Minor Restorative Act which functions like Restorative Act I but is not limited per day, it restores a number of spell slots of the lowest unfilled level equal to the Battleborn Cuddler's charisma modifier. IV requires 50minutes of sustained cuddles.


    Take Part (Ex):
    At level 6th, the Battleborn Cuddler can now benefit from her own Special Healing at the same time as her partner(s) so long as the Special Healing is one category less then her current Special Healing ability. For example, at this level you can perform Special healing III, so you could benefit from Special Healing II.

    Take Part II (Ex):
    At level 12, the Battleborn Cuddler can now benefit from her Restorative Act and Special Healing class abilities at the same time as her partners. She OR the partner can benefit from her Communion abilities.

    Self Service:
    At level 17, You can cuddle yourself. Foreveralone.jpg You can benefit from your class features on yourself without any partners.


    Paragons Height (Ex):
    The Battleborn Cuddler is now Cuddler else. Divine power from many different sources fuels her, it reinforces her.
    She gains DR 20 which can only be overcome by a weapon that has witnessed the Battleborn Cuddler's Communion ability and she has Regeneration 5 which can only be overcome by a weapon coated in the Battleborn Cuddler's own *ahem*... Holy Water...
    When she is not dead or dying, her Regeneration is superseded by a Fast Healing of 25 that can be overcome by a weapon that belongs to a character with the Vow of Chastity feat.
    And finally, the Battleborn Cuddler is eligible for Divine Rank Zero at the DM's option, usually after a few more levels of proving herself in specific deity related quests.


    Epic Progression!

    Grand Healing (Su): Completely revitalizes the target to full capability and permanently increases one statistic by 2 as a Battleborn bonus (Does not stack with more such bonuses). You can use Grand Special Healing on spirits and ghosts, allowing you to perform True Resurrection through this ability without physical remains. Ghosty undead are harder to please however. DC 35 Perform (cuddle)
    Using Grand Special Healing requires an hour instead of 20 minutes. At the end of one hour the effects occur.
    Increase: Every level of decreases the time it takes to perform the technique by 2 minutes, and a new additional point of statistical increase added to the original +2, or providing +2 to a new stat.

    Grand Commune (Su): Directly communicate with the partner's deity who can tell you all that it would have the partner know at this time.
    Using Grand Commune requires an hour instead of 20 minutes. At the end of one hour the effects occur.
    Increase: Every level of decreases the time it takes to perform the technique by 2 minutes, and grants an increasing +2 bonus to bluff, diplomacy, or intimidate against the deity. Every four levels, any deity that would be neutral or favorable towards you gets it's disposition increased one step towards you.

    Grand Act (Su): Gain two more uses to Restorative Act per day. As previous Restorative Acts, and partners regenerate one use of any and all daily abilities per hour.
    Using Grand Act requires an hour instead of 20 minutes. At the end of one hour the effects occur.
    Increase: Every level of increase add one more use to Restorative Act per day.

    Bonus Feats:
    At every indicated level, the Battleborn Cuddler gains a bonus ["cuddle"] feat that she meets the requirements for.

    • Aquatic Adaptation4 - Breathe underwater; gain swim speed.
    • Arcane Knowledge4 (as Draconic Knowledge) - Gain bonus on Knowledge and Spellcraft checks.
    • Bar-Lgura's GraceS - +2 Dex/6HD. Climb speed 1/2 land speed; +10 ft. /10 caster levels.
    • BlessN - Use Bless, Bless Water, or Divine Favor, as the spells.
    • Body AugmentationN - Use Bear's Endurance, Bull's Strength, or Cat's Grace, as the spells.

    • Words of Power, LeastN - Use Power Word: Fatigue, Power Word: Pain, or Power Word: Sicken, as the spells.




    Blessings
    • ArrowbaneN - Gain a +10 AC against ranged attacks, and +10 DR/untyped that only functions against ranged attacks (Any attack at a range greater then 30ft) Spells that do not require an attack roll are not included in this. Once this has prevented 1/4th the users HP in negated damage, the effect ends.
    • BlindesightN - Gain blindsight 60 feet, replaces normal vision.
    • Charm1, 4 - Cause a single creature to regard you as a friend.
    • Circle of PeaceV - On a failed will save, a creature cannot attack you. Ends if you make an attack.
    • Dangerous BeautyS-N - +Cha to AC as deflection if unarmored, immune to effects based on appearance.
    • Discerning SightV - See through illusions or disguise. Will save or spot check to noticed an illusion or disguise with a +4 bonus. Ignore concealment less than total.
    • Enthralling Voice4 - Make nearby creatures fascinated.
    • Endure the PlanesS - Grants avoid planar effects and resist planar alignment spell effects for 24 hours (see Spell Compendium, pp 19, 174). You also gain a +6 sacred bonus on saving throws against any effect that would send you to another plane of existence against your will (such as a plane shift or the violet ray of a prismatic spray). Finally, you may concentrate to detect and learn the activation methods of any portals in the area, as if you had cast an analyze portal spell.
    • Faith Healing:N Use Cure Serious Wounds coupled with lesser restoration.
    • Falling DreamN - Use Illusory Pit, as the spell.
    • Flee the Scene1 - Use short-range Dimension Door as the spell, and leave behind a major image.

    Sounds like the same thing with a variant on Warlock Buffs.
    I will point out, that as Blessing count as Invocations, they will only work with Spell Like Ability metamagics which are of a limited use, so you might want to state a modification to prevent players from derping/make metamagics more useful. Common modifications are a cool down based on the bonus spell level of the invocation.

    The CHA boost is far less effective now, that this class is geared not only to needing STR + CON + and/or DEX, meanwhile Cha has less impact on spellcasting as they are invocations now.
    Thus, the CHA boosts are even less potent now.

    There is just little to keep progressing, I was just noticing how small it was. I'll have to fix it some other time. It's late now, so I'm off to Zzzz's.

    Considering the nature of the class, you could alternate CHA and CON boosts, since both would be of use.

    Also, what about a paladin-style spell list rather than invocations? Just a thought, since Pathfinder paladin's use CHA as their primary casting stat rather than wisdom... so you could go that route.

    Nope, part of the idea with this would be the blessings, using invocations instead of spells.
    I just need to make more invocations relevant to the Cuddler and all things cuddling...
    But that could be difficult since I also have to disguise the cuddling to be cuddling instead of cuddling at the same time, making cuddle based invocations a bit hard at first glance to accomplish.
    But I'll be trying now, it's a new day, I'm fresh awaken from cuddle-based dreams thus I'm in the cuddle mindset right now.

    Only issue I really see there is that Invocations don't have "Levels" really. You can take them pretty much whenever. They only have a level listed for the purpose of working out DC's for saves.

    Might be worth going through some of the divine lists and picking spells that might work with a bit of conversion to an invocation? Or just make invocations that say "Work as X spell" (there's a few like that in Complete Arcane already). I've actually got the 3.5 spell compendium, so if you want ideas throwing your way, I'll see what I can come up with. :)

    Full BAB seems a little unusual. Good fort save is as expected, but good ref is a little strange. If I was giving two good saves to a class with these theme, the second would be will.

    d8 hit die is a little better than warlock, but whatever.

    6+ skills is a lot of skills. Bards, for example, are 6+ and they have more of a 'know everything' idea than you seem to be going for with this class.

    Skill list looks fine, Appraise is a little weird but justifiable.

    Proficiencies are good.

    Aura of Ease still refers to "gains a new spell level" which seems to be a leftover from a previous version of the class. I'd put this on the table and in the text.

    Special Talent
    (Divine) Gather Information: The partner can make a Gather Information check about Cuddler without ever leaving the Battleborn Cuddler's side.
    The ability to make gather info checks about the battleborn cuddler seems... pretty useless.

    The knowledge bonus should be typed, because untyped bonuses are too good. Probably insight, possibly sacred.

    The Heal usage of the ability is either too slow to be helpful (stabilize, treat poison), slower but more certain (treating a disease or spike growth), or much faster than normal (long term care). Long term care in particular is much better than the default, but I can't really call it broken in general use because natural healing is not that good.

    Blessings are better than invocations because they do not have somatic components. They also have to be the primary in-combat ability of this class, apart from full BAB but with no armor and almost no weapon proficiencies full BAB is less helpful.

    Special Healing I heals
    Confused, Dazed, Dazzled, Exhausted, Fatigued, feebleminded, nauseated, sickened, and stunned.
    Fixing confusion via cuddling has two problems: the archetypal confusion spell only lasts a round a level, and you cannot control your actions well enough for mutual cuddling for 20 minutes. The second problem can be overcome. Dazed typically lasts a few rounds at most, and has less significant participatory problems (though the Sea Hag can daze for three days, which is werid). Dazzled is typically a few rounds or 'as long as you are in bright light' so it is also strange to fix with 20 minutes of cuddling. Exhausted and fatigued have the right duration for a 20 minute fix to be acceptable. Feeblemind normally takes a 5th level spell (11th level caster) to fix; this class can fix it at level 2. That seems too strong. The last three conditions generally do not last 20 minutes but it's reasonable to be able to fix them at level 2.

    Special Healing 2: Remove Curse needs a caster level, probably equal to class level. Remove Curse is a 3rd level spell, so this class gets it one level early. Whatevs. Out of combat healing is not a big deal.

    Special Healing 3: The clause about making two perform checks to heal two ability scores belongs in here, not in the general special healing section. Also, DC 15 skill checks are trivial by this level.

    Special Healing 4: No-cost Raise Dead is probably too good. A long-cast Heal at level 13 is fine. Giving +4 to a physical stat at this level is also fine, at this level it is kind of expected.

    Special Healing 5 is fine. I'd like to mention here that I am looking more at mechanics than at fluff, which you did an amusing job on.

    If Special Communion is the primary job of the Battleborn Cuddler, why does she only get access to it at level 7? Fluff-crunch mismatch. Divination is an amusing spell. You seem to have a copy-paste error here, the level one ability is present twice.

    No-cost Commune is rather strong. Knowledge is power, after all.

    Discern Location is very strong, and this class gets it a level sooner than wizards and even clerics (who should have the strongest bond to a god). Legend Lore is less concerning.

    Foresight is not a huge deal at level 19. Nice but not too strong.

    Restorative Act is too good. Being a walking, breathing super Pearl of Power in exchange for a skill check which is not hard for an equivalent level caster is too good. If you really like this effect and want to keep it, I would tone it back to restoring only one spell slot.

    Take Part is fine.

    What level does Self Service come at?

    Epic is Epic, I don't even want to look at it.

    Blessings are... I would expect a low level Cuddler to take Power Word and, say, Body Augmentation because those are strong at low levels. Possibly too strong. Magic Missile at will at level 1 might also be too good.

    In the second tier of blessings, both of the dispelling Blessings seem pretty strong, and not very on-theme.

    Third tier of Blessings: Request Soul is not listed in your second list, and also only good for 3 levels because after that you have Special Healing 4 and can raise the dead anyway.

    Fourth tier of blessings don't seem very cuddly.

    In conclusion, this class has full BAB with terrible proficiencies, healing cuddles, divination cuddles, invocations, a bunch of bonus feats, restores spell slots... it just seems to be all over the place. A base class can be a little broader in focus; I would make some of these features different paths which you get to pick one of, smooth out the power curve, and think about what they do in combat.

    Battleborn cuddlers differ from sacred somethings in that they focus much less on their will and magic voodoo. They're more natural and instead focus on reflex, being quick, light, agile, ect, while not really caring about the whole strong mind thingy.

    I believe I removed most obviously and/or directly damaging invocations for the Blessings list within reason...

    Cuddle feats are found in the BoEF or perhaps you can take from other such sources such as the Book of U.C.D. or Nymphology.

    It's untyped because I want them to be a part of the character, not just some stat that doesn't stack with anything. Essencially as if you had a bonus to that first roll you made when creating your character, with bonus points to your point buy pool and increased limit on starting statistic... or something like that.

    And it's not their primary job, Healing is the primary job meanwhile they are much more useful and/or unique over other healers with their ability to channel a person's deity.

    Third tier of Blessings: Request Soul is not listed in your second list, and also only good for 3 levels because after that you have Special Healing 4 and can raise the dead anyway.

    Fourth tier of blessings don't seem very cuddly.
    Probably not. I asked for anyone's ideas for cuddle based invocations. No one seems to have any.

    I already know what they do in combat, silly.
    I'm trying to make a Battleborn Cuddler already. She uses revolvers, from pathfinder, and uses some blessings to give her an edge. She focuses her Body Augmentation on her Constitution to help her survive and be tougher while helping her Breath Weapon from the Dragon Descendant bloodline as well as endure the harsher nights the setting has.
    Meanwhile to help her use of the revolvers, she has two [Cuddle] feats that increase her dexterity after cuddling.

    DC 15 is Trivial. I just rolled a total of 39 at level 4 with a perform check, with most of the houses coming from feats and charima.

    As for Invocations, I should have remembered, getting to work. However, it appears you have found the Invoker class to work from, which is good.

    It's not supposed to be difficult.
    DC 15 is actually the basis for sustaining Cuddles.

    Battleborn Cuddlers already get an increasing deflection bonus... They could stack, adding charisma bonus on top of it...
    Would it really be a lesser invocation though? Almost seems like Least (Minor) would be fitting :/

    Sacred Somethings, and thus Battleborn Cuddlers, channel all/Any deities.
    Thus in effect any and every sort of invocation could be considered fitting, if you go by deities.
