Default [D&D 3.5 PrC] Monk of Wrath | Peach

    Hello again!

I present you today a prestige class that I've created some months ago: the Monk of Wrath. These monks are not very similar to the others: while they were on the path of enlightnement and they were as ascetic as all the other monks, something must have happened in the past of these individuals, something that has created great fury in them.
    Fluff to come.
    Here it is:

    Prerequisite:
    Class: Monk
    BaB: +6
Feat: Leap Attack, Power Attack, Versatile Unarmed Strike
Special: something traumatic must have happened to the character, in order to make him forgot the usual calm of the monk's and to awaken his never ending rage. Good examples are: the destruction of the monk's monastery, a lot of people for whom the character has feeling killed in front of him, situations of EXTREME danger. The dm has the final word in saying if the character can enter these prestige class or not.

Skill Points: 2+Int. Skills: Climb (Str), Intimidate (Cha), Jump (Str), Swim (Str), Tumble (Dex).

Monk Abilities: A Monk of Wrath's class levels stack with his Monk levels for determining his unarmed damage, AC bonus, and unarmored speed bonus.

No Time to Think (Ex): A character with levels in the Monk of Wrath prestige class is considered to have 0 ranks in all Intelligence-, Wisdom-, and Charisma-based skills (whether or not he has bought ranks in them previously). The only exception is the Intimidate skill, which works normally.

Rage (Ex): A Monk of Wrath can fly into a rage a certain number of times per day. In a rage, a Monk of Wrath temporarily gains a +4 bonus to Strength, a +4 bonus to Constitution, and a +2 morale bonus on Will saves, but he takes a –2 penalty to Armor Class. The increase in Constitution increases the character’s hit points by 2 points per level, but these hit points go away at the end of the rage when his Constitution score drops back to normal. (These extra hit points are not lost first the way temporary hit points are.) While raging, a Monk of Wrath cannot use any Charisma-, Dexterity-, or Intelligence-based skills (except for Balance, Escape Artist, Intimidate, Ride, Climb, Jump, Swim and Tumble), the Concentration skill, or any abilities that require patience or concentration, nor can he cast spells or activate magic items that require a command word, a spell trigger (such as a wand), or spell completion (such as a scroll) to function. He can use any feat he has except Combat Expertise, item creation feats, and metamagic feats. A fit of rage lasts for a number of rounds equal to 3 + the character’s (newly improved) Constitution modifier. A Monk of Wrath may prematurely end his rage. At the end of the rage, the Monk of Wrath loses the rage modifiers and restrictions and becomes fatigued (–2 penalty to Strength, –2 penalty to Dexterity, can’t charge or run) for the duration of the current encounter (unless he is a 9th-level Monk of Wrath, at which point this limitation no longer applies; see below).
A Monk of Wrath can fly into a rage only once per encounter. At 1st level he can use his rage ability once per day. At 3rd level and every two levels thereafter, he can use it one additional time per day (to a maximum of four times per day at 9th level). Entering a rage takes no time itself, but a Monk of Wrath can do it only during his action, not in response to someone else’s action.

Dangerous (Ex): the critical threat of the Monk of Wrath unarmed strike raise by 1 (20 to 19-20)

Skilled Brawler (Ex): at 2nd level the Monk of Wrath gain an untyped +2 bonus to his grapple checks. These bonus get an additional +2 at 4th level and every two levels thereafter.

Close-Quarter Fighting: at 4th level, the Monk of Wrath gains Close-Quarter Fighting (CW) as a bonus feat.

Greater Rage (Ex): at 5th level, a Monk of Wrath’s bonuses to Strength and Constitution during his rage each increase to +6, and his morale bonus on Will saves increases to +3. The penalty to AC remains at –2.

Improved Grab (Ex): at 6th level, the Monk of Wrath gains Improved Grab, as the monster special ability. To use this ability, the character must hit with an unarmed attack. It can then attempt to start a grapple as a free action without provoking an attack of opportunity.

Merciless (Ex): at 8th level, the critical muliplier of the character's unarmed strike increase by 1 (from x2 to x3).

Tireless Rage (Ex): at 9th level and higher, the character no longer becomes fatigued at the end of his rage.

Ki Rage (Su): at 10th level, the character permanently add his Wisdom modifier to unarmed strike's damage rolls (along with his Str modifier, as normal). Moreover, when he's raging he can do a full attack action followed, or anticipated, by a move action or move-equivalent action 3/encounter.

Eh? Another one? Is this one Atrocitus or Asura?

No Time to Think is a fairly harsh penalty, considering the entry taxes. Also, grappling? From what I gather these guys should be more bent on pummeling the living tar out of people?
