The colors might have something to do with it, and the implie fabric texture. Makeup and hair help a lot, too.

Hmmmm, you carry off the feminine look extremely well in the first picture - almost Helio levels of cuteness. The t-shirt helps a lot I think and having your hair swept forward frames your face quite nicely.

Honest opinions? You have the same problem as I do - very thick and bushy eyebrows. I've started plucking mine to get them down to more feminine levels; I recommend you do the same if you want to look female.

(Yes, I know that no woman should be obligated to remove any hair, but we're talking social perceptions here, and removing excess hair is important if you want to be perceived as feminine)

I'm amazed at extreme mood swings too right now except I'm on the receiving end.

You look alright. Honest? Well, the eyebrows could do with some trimming. I don't know why, but all the females I know have very neat eyebrows they spend ages working on and they look soft and contribute to soft umm, curves of the face a bit. I don't know, I don't really pay attention to fashion.

EDIT: Heliomance beat me to it. lol. Well, some ladies do enjoy spending time on looking great so you trying hair management is worth it.

Anyway, I'm cis-male, I just think it'd be an interesting experience. As long as I'm not allowed to pansy out halfway through because that'd be cheating.

Yeah, that's what I meant by I understand why people would be curious.

I definitely read you as a girl on the first impression. Even though I think it's slightly iffy that you'd have to, Helio does have a good point that could help even more in you being read as your gender.

I started off with the brown hair you see at my jaw line. Bleached it out for Blue. Got a job with blue hair. :3 While I was working there, hair growing out, went green. From there, hair at close to neck line, went pink. As shoulders and hair met, went purple. As purple faded and went past shoulders, bleached for a red/black alternating stripes. Bleached for that, hair was too crispy and fried to take color well, and could break easy. Hacked off all the color, was left with hair about a half inch long all over. Sad day, but now for new growth!

First off, don't cut it. The wive's tale of cutting it makes it grow faster is bunk. That came about because we see in percentages, meaning from bald to one inch looks like faster, more growth than one inch to two inches.

I've noticed that my hair grows fuller on higher red meat and veggie diets(Steak with carrots and peas works well). That could be perception, though. Iron has been linked to healthy hair and nails, so... Getting beef at medium is good, not too much iron is lost/broken down from burning it(medium-well, well done).

Keeping it clean, washing it daily(or scalp massages... *purrs*), helps stimulate growth. You should be able to expect a half inch of growth on average/month. Measure it if you want, using a tape measure from a sewing kit. Brushing it through several times daily.

Well, it's completely crass, but the visible breasts in the first picture definitely help.

I agree with The Succubus that you look better with the hair forward rather than back as well.

I don't know about that, but whatever I do my hair grows at a bonkers rate. I have to get my hair cut every two months or it'll more than double its length...

I don't even take extreme care of my hair, so I'm sure whoever's trying to grow hair well will do so well.

I think you just kind of let it do its thing. Wash and condition, keep it neat, trim it a little bit periodically for dead ends or whatever, but the biggest thing is to avoid haircuts.

Keeping in mind my hair is less than an inch long, so doubling its length is not difficult. Maybe it simply irritates me and grows at a normal rate...

I eat a ton because of high metabolism and the desire to gain weight. Umm, a lot of fruit, veg, chicken, red meat and fish. I also eat rice quite frequently and sometimes sandwiches (but not often. Not fond of most sandwiches.) It sounds to me like a usual set of food that most anyone eats though. Well, I guess I don't eat a lot of fast food but that's because I'm not fond of it. Maybe my hair growth is genetic?

Oh yeah, I eat eggs every day because our extended family have chickens. A lot of us live on farms (alas, I no longer live on anything resembling a farm. It's odd being 20min walk from the shops).
