Default [D&D 3.5 NPC PrC] Legionary | Peach and suggestions appreciated

Hello everybody. These is a prestige class I had created for a campaign I'm currently running. The idea would be to recreate a legionary (with some poetic licences) class, a fighter who rely on the rest of his party to find his strenght.

Legionary

Requirements:
Base Attack Bonus: +5
Feats: Endurance, Shieldmate.
Special: Must join the Legion.

d10
{table=head]Level|Base Attack Bonus|Fort Save|Ref Save|Will Save|Special

1st|+1|+2|+0|+0| Special Training

2nd|+2|+3|+0|+0| Cohort

3rd|+3|+3|+1|+1| Launching in Charge

4th|+4|+4|+1|+1| Coordinated Combat

5th|+5|+4|+1|+1| Legion's Might
Skill Points: 2+Int. Skills: Climb (Str), Craft (Int), Intimidate (Cha), Jump (Str), Profession (Wis), Swim (Str).

Armors and Weapons proficiencies: a Legionary is proficient with light and medium armors, and with heavy and tower shields. It's also proficient with simple weapons, short sword and with whirling javelins.

Special Training (Ex): the Legionary has been trained to use special attack and defense tactics. To use any of his class skills, the legionary must be equipped with light or medium armor. He also has to be armed with a shield tower and a short sword, a spear or a half spear.
Despite all these limitations, however, his training allows him to use a spear with one hand, thus giving it the possibility to use it together with a shield. Moreover the Legionary does not suffer any speed reduction in medium armor and not suffer any penalty to attack rolls when using a shield tower.

Cohort (Ex): the Legionary gets the Phalanx Fighting feat. Furthermore, if it is protected on both sides by two other Legionaries, he gets an additional bonus of +1 to his AC for each allied Legionary adjacent to him, up to a maximum of +4. This bonus is cumulative with that granted by Shieldmate and Improved Shieldmate but not with Dodge, as the compact formation does not allow to have the freedom of movement needed to dodge an incoming attack. The speed of the Legionary while he's in Cohort is reduced by 10 feet, up to a minimum speed of 10 feet.

Launching in Charge (Ex): If the Legionary charges an opponent, he can make a ranged attack with a thrown weapon in addition to the normal attack at the end of the charge. The Legionary can use this ability only if he has a throwing weapon in his hand at the beginning of his turn. Both attacks must be made against the same opponent and they both receive the bonus to attack rolls derived from the charge. If the Legionary kills his target with the throwing weapon, then he concludes the charge but not making any melee attack. If the Legionary possesses the ability to make multiple attacks during a charge, he can only make a single attack in addition to the attack of the throwing weapon. The Legionary still suffers the -2 penalty to AC when charging.

Coordinated Combat (Ex): when a Legionary is fighting in cohort and is flanked by at least one other allied Legionary, he gets a +1 to melee attack rolls. This bonus increases by an additional +1 if it is accompanied by another allied Legionary, for a maximum total of +2.

Legion's Might (Sup): the Legionary gets a +1 bonus to all saving throws for each allied Legionary adjacent to him, up to a maximum of +6.

Centurion

Requirements:
Special: Must have completed the Legionary prestige class' progression. Must be considered the best member of his cohort.

d10
{table=head]Level|Base Attack Bonus|Fort Save|Ref Save|Will Save|Special
6th|+6|+5|+2|+2| Warcry +2
7th|+7|+5|+2|+2| Support the Legion
8th|+8|+6|+2|+2| Warcry +4
Warcry (Ex): the Centurion shouts a mighty warcry affecting all allies [and himself] in 20 feet, granting a +2 morale bonus on saving throws against fear effects and damage rolls. At 8th level this morale bonus become +4. These ability lasts for a number of rounds equal to the Centurion Charisma modifier.

Support the Legion (Ex): the presence of a Centurion is sufficient to grant to all Legionaries in 20 feet a second saving throw agains fear and charme effects. Even if a Legionary fails his saving throw, the fear effects are less effective: panicked characters are only frightened, frightened characters are only shaken and shaken characters suffer no effect.

Praetorian

Requirements:
Special: Must have completed the Centurion progression. Must be considered the best centurion of the Legion. Must be chosen by the emperor or by a general.

d10
{table=head]Level|Base Attack Bonus|Fort Save|Ref Save|Will Save|Special
9th|+9|+6|+3|+3| No Mercy
10th|+10|+7|+3|+3| Impetuous Endurance
No Mercy (Ex): At 9th level, a Praetorian gains the ability to make one extra attack of opportunity per round against the same foe he has attacked with the first attack of opportunity. Moreover, the critical multiplier of any weapon he is wielding increase by one (x2 to x3, x3 to x4 and so on).

Impetuous Endurance (Ex): A Praetorian fighting spirit enables him to push his body beyond the normal limits of endurance. He no longer automatically fail a saving throw on a roll of 1. He might still fail the save if his result fails to equal or beat the DC.

Comments? Suggestions (in particular regarding the Praetorian's special abilities...I'm not satisfied with the current ones)?

I'd also like to have suggestions on how to make these class appealing to a player..

Looks pretty good, on the whole.

"lspear" should just be longspear; "malus" is more commonly penalty, as with tower shields. Also, "does not suffer any speed reduction in medium armor" seems better.

Launching in Charge (Ex): the Legionart gets the Launching in Charge feat, even if he doesn't meets the prerequisites of the feats.

not sure about the english feat name, I can't find it anywhere. Basically, these feat allows a charging character to launch a throwing weapon, such as a javelin, to the target of his charge, followed by the normal melee attack of the charge.
No idea what this would be, but perhaps you should just rephrase the general effect you want.

{table=head]Level|Base Attack Bonus|Fort Save|Ref Save|Will Save|Special
6th|+6|+5|+2|+2| Warcry +2
7th|+7|+5|+2|+2| Support the Legion
8th|+8|+6|+2|+2| Warcry +4
The continuation of the progression from 6th level seems pretty unusual, and not sure if it's necessary, or whether it would be better to use normal form.

Warcry (Ex): the Centurion shouts a mighty warcry affecting all allies [and himself] in 20 feet, granting a +2 bonus on saving throws against fear effects and damage rolls. At 8th level these bonus become +4. These ability lasts for a number of rounds equal to the Centurion Charisma modifier.
I assume this is a morale bonus?

panicked characters are only frightened, frightened characters are only shakened and shakened characters suffer no effect.
Just shaken not shakened.

Must be choosen by the emperor or by a general.
Chosen.

Impetuous Endurance (Ex): A Praetorian fighting spirit enables him to push his body beyond the normal limits of endurance. He no longer automatically fail a saving throw on a roll of 1. He might still fail the save if your result fails to equal or beat the DC.
That's actually pretty nice, although reword the last sentence to avoid changing pronouns (or just take it out).

I'd also like to have suggestions on how to make these class appealing to a player..
Well, NPC classes aren't generally that great for players.

Especially in this case; there's a strong motivation to stick with the Legion, which doesn't work well for adventurers in general.
