Ok, I am now finally 100% convinced, Malack is evil. So much for me being an optimist.

Re: OOTS #875 - The Discussion Thread
This battle is pretty great with swinging back and forth in who has the edge.

Wow, is this Malack's moral event horizon? How disappointing.

Re: OOTS #875 - The Discussion Thread
Though this does indicate that if Malack got any more Lawful, he'd cease to be anything but an Outsider.
Now, to see if Durkon has started a fight he can win or not.

Re: OOTS #875 - The Discussion Thread
Well, that's some nice on-the-fly strategizing from Durkon. Hopefully he can do more with the advantage than whack Malack with a hammer, though.
And yeah, holy crap, that's freaking Evil.Last edited by Shale; 2013-03-01 at 03:19 PM.

Re: OOTS #875 - The Discussion Thread
Nice charge Durkon! Okay here's my theory: Durkon keeps the battle going, taking a few more hits and dispelling his protection from then sun. Then casts Thor's Might bursting through the ceiling and exposing Malack to some direct sunlight! C'mon Durkon! Make that Str Check!
Also thanks for the awesome comic Rich!Last edited by Cisturn; 2013-03-01 at 03:21 PM.

Re: OOTS #875 - The Discussion Thread
Nice long-term plans Malack has there
And the fact that Tarquin knows also means that their trust is way better than most parties involved, or so I think.

Re: OOTS #875 - The Discussion Thread
I like the bit about Tarquin being perfectly fine with his plans being co-opted by Malack.
Also, as a few others have said, something's just telling me Malack's evil.LGBTA+itP

Re: OOTS #875 - The Discussion Thread
Yes, if there was ANY room for doubt, that panel shut it down completely.
I find this strip to be a bit of a cool-down from the past couple of strips. It's nice to have a couple of things confirmed (i.e. how many spells Durkon has left) and I like the call-back to how open Malack and Tarquin are to one another, but it kinda lacks the excitement of the previous few.

Well I think that answers the question of whether Durkon has Protection from Evil prepared.

It's also good to see the refutation of all the "Durkon was being SOOOO UNREASONABLE GAIZ" posts from a few days ago.

Re: OOTS #875 - The Discussion Thread
See, by rebelling against Tarquin, Nale was opposing Malack's plan for a thousand sacrifices each day. He's the real hero! He'd only perform a few sacrifices each day for he and Sabine's sex life.

Durkon continues to prove to be smarter than I thought he was. It's nice for him to get a moment in the spotlight.

Re: OOTS #875 - The Discussion Thread
Another great comic!
I felt a chill down my spine when I read the line about special chambers for mass killings... That's some serious Evil.
For the first time, we see that Malack's ambitions are actually larger than Tarquin's.Last edited by Smolder; 2013-03-01 at 04:04 PM.

Calm, Orderly and Efficient. Kind of reminds me of how Sun Li describes what his rule of the empire will be like in Jade Empire.
