Default Looking for shadow themed homebrew.

    Hi All,

I was hoping to get some help in locating some shadow themed homebrew, this will be for an upcoming campiagn arc that will be taking place in the plane of shadow. Anywho, I have done a thorough search and am a little perturbed that my google-fu did not turn up more information than I did. However, I did stumble upon this incredible resource Descent of Shadows: Project Shadow Returns! Although the previously linked thread does offer a ton of amazing homebrew I was hoping to find addional material which I can use. So, please feel free to link or post your own material here. Any and all comments are welcome and much appreciated.

    Cheers
    Volf

PS: I am really interested in additional theurge like prestige classes (especially those that advance shadowcasting and/or invocations and/or binding)as well as prestige classes that enhance a rogue/fighter combination.

I did a literal-"Duskblade" a long time back. Not sure how good it is, but here you go-- a 6th-level-casting gish with a lot of shadow powers.

Wow! Thats exactly what I am looking for Grod_The_Giant. I have done a quick cursory glance of the class and I believe that it's something that I can include in my campaign. Although I will be making a few small tweaks to it if thats alright.

Room for one more? I just did a Shadowlord, and I'd love if you'd just give it a look over. Hope it helps, I dunno if you need any more. It's a Cha and Dex based melee class with some spell like abilities and a few (in my opinion) pretty cool original mechanics.

Someone called me, and my class with a name in gratuitous German?

Want characters literally cloaked in shadow? This is your class.

If you're looking for creatures as well as classes, my puppet master (creature) would fit the bill.

I am in no way attacking your homebrew, but did you intentionally put the fluff in white so that it would be nigh illegible, or is that an accident? I'm kinda curious as to what it says, but I'm going to hurt my eyes before I get through the page.

That was intended; you're supposed to highlight it.

To see the "shadow" of the fluff, so to speak.

Yeah, it's a bit contrived, but I felt like it at the time.

My Twilight Scion probably fits the build, as it is a Gish Shadowcaster/Swordsage (Shadow Hand) PrC.

    Ingredients

    2oz Djinn
    5oz Water
    1 Lime Wedge

    Instructions

Pour Djinn and tonic water into a glass filled with ice cubes. Stir well. Garnish with lime wedge. Serve.

This is what I get for owning an iPad. Ah well, thanks for clarifying. Looks like a pretty cool class though, I'm a big fan of your work.

Ugh, my rather long and detailed reply to everyone got nuked.

So, instead of re-typing the whole thing I will simply say this: all of the homebrew posted so far rocks! Mightily! The homebrewing is so impressive that I am going to find a home for all of the posted material in my next campaign arc. As a way of thanking everyone I will post here (when I have everything completed) the NPC's as well as encounters that I develope based upon the shared homebew material.

    Cheers
    Volf

PS I am also looking for some good "shadowy" homebrew for a rogue/fighter NPC. Preferably a 5 level prestige class which you can enter at 6th level.

Glad that you enjoyed my old project.

If you're looking for more shadow stuff (and are willing to convert back from pathfinder if using 3.5), perhaps take a look at Peacenlove's stuff?
I'm try not to be too vain but this was too perfect not to sig.

If you do that and use my stuff, please give feedback about the angels and my PRC's. I am quite unsure about their power level and my angels are very complicated too.
Lastly I have a pdf with my homebrew (new stuff inside), and organized Descent of shadows into word/pdf files. If you want drop me a PM and I will send it to you via mail.

To be honest, I love all things shadow related! You can imagine how enthused I was when I stumbled upon your homebrew material. I was doubly lucky when I realized that I had to do little to no tweaking in order to make it fit into my game.

Thanks for the links peacenlove! If I use any of the homebrew above I will provide feedback as well as a brief description on how it was used. I actually downloaded the .pdf of Descent of Shadows already. Thanks for the offer though!

As a side note; I must come up with a quick little prestige class that is 5 levels in length. I inadvertently introduced an NPC which the players have taken a liking to (my one player might be taking him as a cohort via the Leadership feat). So now i am stuck fully stating him. The only problem is that I hand waved a bunch of stuff other than knowing he was a fighter/rogue with some "spiffy" darkness related abilities (I described him as "being ... a lean figure encased in a black suit of spiked plate armor leaking streamers of shadows which obfuscated his exact form. As he moved the shadows left behind in his wake convulsed as if they had a mind of its own."). Once I have something I will post it here in the forums in the hopes of getting some feedback.

    Cheers

Might as well throw something in.

My first homebrew here was a PrC that mixes the Paladin and the Shadowcaster. If your interested, here. I called it the paladin of mysteries. I had wished I would get more feedback on it, but only got comments before I put in a proper table. If its some use to someone here, great.
