For those of you wondering why Sebi keeps on shying away from Kuroshi (and haven't peeked at Sebi's character sheet), I present: A Brief History of Ratfolk (Ratfolk edition):

    Spoiler
    Show
    "My people have a city.

That's it. One city. With Dwarves - who dislike us - on one side and Drow - who hate us - on the other three. There's no escape below and all the surface offers is the lands the ancient Drow salted to drive out their elven cousins. We're trapped in our holes, just marking time until they finally decide to finish us off.

We've survived as long as we have because of ancient politics. We had been allies of the Gnomes and Elves during the wars against the Drow and the Dwarves. When we lost, it was the intervention of the Humans and the Halflings of Palagonia that stopped the Drow and the Dwarves persuing their beaten foes to Amrestad... or exterminating us. As a consequence, we get visits from Halfling Caravans once or twice a year. It's our only real contact with the outside world, and the only reason the Drow haven't been able to exterminate or enslave us and pretend nothing had happened.

Sadly for those of us who would rather have a future, the Caravans have to pass through border posts controlled by the other races, and they look dimly upon Ratfolk trying to leave. Since the caravans have to smuggle us out, it's expensive and spaces are pretty limited. We have competitions to see who gets smuggled out. The Ratfolk we manage to smuggle out are likely to be our future, you see, so we want to get the ones with the best potential beyond the Drow's reach while we still can. Our most promising single young warriors, craftsmen, mages and so forth are the preferred smugglees. After all, we don't have the spaces to smuggle out whole families. Whoever we get out has to be able to make a life out here, and still be young enough to breed once they're settled.

Me, I won a magic competition to get my ticket to the surface world. So, here I am in Paslaest. A young mage exposed to the surface world and it's many races for the first time. Standing outside a small library, about to sign up for an adventure! Yes... risking my life just after I got here doesn't sound like such a great idea, but magic's my only sellable skill and my few hundred Gold isn't going to last me all that long...

I figured something like that was going. However, given my characters backstory he either wouldn't be privy to that/ would choose to just ignore it

Also not sure what you were thinking of using for a map system once we do get to combat, but there is this pretty nifty site right here. You do have to sign up but its free to do so.

it doesn't seem like it at first but people can come and go as they please and the DM doesnt have to keep a page open or anything for the rest of the party to access it. you can also give permissions to different chips.

I should probably point out here that as a Diviner, Sebi should get to act in the surprise round even if the rest of the party cannot...

    Spoiler
    Show

    Forewarned (Su)

You can always act in the surprise round even if you fail to make a Perception roll to notice a foe, but you are still considered flat-footed until you take an action. In addition, you receive a bonus on initiative checks equal to 1/2 your wizard level (minimum +1). At 20th level, anytime you roll initiative, assume the roll resulted in a natural 20.

Woops - my bad - roll initiative here at the moment anyway and make a move in the IC thread - since no other action has been taken we'll say that the surprise round is still on at the moment (I'll keep this in mind for next time and 'forewarn' you about upcoming surprises).

I rolled in the IC thread - scoring 24. Since Sebi was doing a full round action anyway (Summon Monster II) I'm happy to say that's what she did in the surprise round and the monster will appear on my turn in Round 1.

Firestorm's earth elemental is in play for 30 turns, with round one being the first.

@GM: Can he begin the process of summoning his eidolon while the elemental is summoned, then banish the elemental to then summon his eidolon on the turn after? Or does the elemental have to be banished for him to even start the process?

Hold on, what's your AC? I can add +2 on both rounds probably, so you might get spared some damage.

I compensated for that unfortunately - unless I've miscalculated (quite likely given that I'm very poor with numbers) the damage sticks

Aid another doesn't work in the surprise round (does it? I'm not going to lie, not 100% sure here).

Your attack did connect - you stabbed your attacker before he was killed by Nikola's earth elemental (I used your character's surname since I like alliteration).

No, it looks like I wouldn't get to do it on the surprise. I rolled twice, but the second one is the real one. And I'll assume that I made my second attack against Kuroshi's attacker since the first one died.

No idea if those two 15s were enough to score hits, but if they were:

"Giant Worker Ant" - (1d6+2)[7] + another 2 if the target is evil
    "Acid" - (1d3)[1]

I may be losing track here, but shouldn't it be Sebi's turn again? What I just posted was her retroactive actions in Round 1, but then I'm fairly certain she beat the attackers for Initiative and gets to go first in Round 2 as well...

Could I get a consolidated initiative count, along with who needs to move? If I understood correctly it's Firestorm's turn again, soooo:

    Necessary rolls, narrated IC:

    Spoiler
    Show
    Stealth:
    (1d20+3)[10]

Longsword (vs flat-footed if stealth successful)
    Attack Roll with flank- (1d20+6)[15]
    Damage- (1d8+1)[3]

    Earth Elemental:
Attack Roll with Charge (10 feet down, 10 feet up, see IC) and Power Attack- (1d20+7)[18]
    Damage- (1d6+7)[13]

Note: The elemental is only partially above ground at the end of its turn and gains appropriate cover bonuses (similar to underwater) accordingly.

Here's the damage for my last turn, since I failed at rolling properly. Put my move where ever its supposed to go.

(1d8+3)[11] supposing I actually hit considering my roll

Looks like I missed out on a pretty nice brawl. Would have gotten in on the beginning of that, but real life got in the way, and this game more or less took a back seat to more pressing matters.

Seeing as my character would have technically been present, I suppose she would have been trying to get involved, but couldn't do so effectively (Just how tight were those quarters, anyway? Any space to swing a glaive around or shoot a few arrows?).
