It's only...14.25 hours late. Sorry about that, the combination of turkey and the flu caused me to actually sleep through all of Friday, so I didn't start the comic until this morning.

Great, I was really wondering when this would come up.

I have a feeling Nale went a bit too far with this, but as many expected this seems to be the beginning of the end for Nale's little plan.

Thanks for the strip Giant, I hope you're feeling better now. I don't quite understand the significance of the title - would someone more perceptive care to explain how "Improved Feint" relates to the strip?

That's excellent. I'm assuming Haley was trying to say something like "Elan..." before he stopped her...The multiple Haley-selves seem to presage some major soul-searching on the part of our mal-lingual rogue...

Great strip - who on earth are all those people/figures in the last scene?? Looking back from OOTS 319 we've got her self-reliance, optomism and "stop all this emo crap" Haley - I wonder who all the others are.

Paranoia? Self-worth? Self-loathing? There could be dozens

I love that Nale managed to stumble ass-backwards into not learning about Haley's speech condition yet again.
Congratulations, you can link to TV Tropes. This does not mean you have special insight into the storytelling process, much less the author's mind. Stories don't need to fit into neat boxes, you know.

I'm scared... This doesn't look like Haley figuring out what's going on... This looks like Haley about to go insane...

By the way, I LOVE Haley's expression in the first panel. It's like, HUH? Why the heck is Elan now SMART?

Oh man. I loved that one. It's gotta be the first in a while that actually made me laugh out loud. MOst make me laugh pretty hard inside, but for this one I couldn't help myself.

Nale's speech was one of the best I've ever seen. It managed to use all of those stupid romantic cliches, insult Elan, compliment himself, and still be funny at the same time.

Is it just me, or has he been planning this for a while. I mean, we saw him walking out of one panel last strip and into teh next with the bouquet, so he probably didn't have time to get the dress then, so he probably had it before.

I wonder what exactly Haley's expression in the last panel meant. It's the same as panel 3, but all of her personas have it, so it seems like the dress is somehow significant, though I'm not sure why. Well, significant beyond that fact that it's a rather skanky dress, because that alone probably wouldn't earn that expressions.

Why, exactly? She's smiling in at least 3 of the panels. What makes you think that she's seeing through him, as opposed to just going totally nuts at the thought that Elan is asking HER out...
