I am unsatisfied with my second attempt. Here's my judging criteria.

    Spoiler
    Show
While I'm providing numbers, judging is subjective. Where there's something in the build I'd be remiss not to note, I'll take it into account and tweak the scoring.

    Originality
1: Build is cookie-cutter of the optimization staples.
2: Build isn't quite cookie-cutter, but the devations from the template of your party roles are nothing new.
3: Build contains quirky selections and/or optimization staples that I wouldn't have otherwise seen fitting with this party role.
4: Build challenges, not necessarily defies, your party role.
    5: Completely off-the-wall.

    Power
1: Build is helpless even at its job.
2: Build has the Tier 5 problem of triyng to do its job and being not very good at it. If you can't meet basic goals of your roles, you probably belong heare.
3: Build is passable in a mild-optimization environment. May involve 'carrying' the SI a little.
4: Build might not be able to stand up to optimized play with Tier 3-4 classes, but otherwise makes good used of its contents to be something moderate.
5: The build is something you could toss onto the forums and not get harassed with "replace it with 10 levels of StP Erudite" or something. The build can stand up to optimized play involving Tier 3-4 classes.

    Elegance
Previously, I broke down elegance into specific deductions and benefits. I still have examples, but the numbers are going to be very variable now, as this is highly subjective. Examples of things you can get minuses or pluses for:
    - Build is difficult to follow or figure out what it does
    - Choppy power growth so that the build is unacceptably weak for many levels: waiting for it to "come online", as the other judges put it.
    - Overreliance on items or other WBL-based options, such as paying NPCs for expensive spells.
    - May-contain-dairy-products rule variants. LA buyoff, magical locations for feats, lesser planetouched, and bloodlines count, but the list is not exhaustive.
    - Dismissing/handwaving fluff. I'm not going to be such a stickler about it this time.
    - Rules violations.
    + Class progression is particularly natural, such as X 5/SI 10/Y 5.
+ Build seems like it would appear natural, not abominably min-maxed, to a fairly new player. Max score is 5.
    + Fluff meshes particularly well.

    Use of the Secret Ingredient
1: Talon of Tiamat is seriously detrimental to your build, as opposed to taking more of a base class.
2: Talon of Tiamat is used, but a categorically better no-brainer option exists. Most of the SI's abilities are ignored.
3: Talon of Tiamat contributes meaningfully to the build. Most of the SI's abilities are used.
4: All of the SI's abilities are used meaningfully. The build is a lot better with the SI then it would be without.
5: The SI is the shining star of the build. There's no impression that the SI has been crowbarred into a more standard build, and it's a Talon of Tiamat showcase.

My creativity has been unusually low recently. What's up with that?

I haven't found the time to finish level breakdown and backstory yet, but with luck I'll be able to finish before the deadline. Been driving most of today, so little work will likely be done tonight. If I can't get it in, I'll likely put up the chart, as I at least have that done. Have fun, Thurbane.

Alrighty, second one done and in, that's it for me. I had a third idea I wanted to put out, but it was my initial idea that I was able to build into my others. It was only able to do one thing more than any other, but otherwise the other two were better across the board, neither could I come up with a theme or background for it to mix it all together. I'll post the stub after the reveal.

I'm working all this weekend, so I'm unlikely to see the reveal til monday, so best of luck guys! i'm really quite interested to see where we all go with it.

    Pretty much.
I started out with a left field idea, which then ran off into the next field to the left of that one, but ended up being very pedestrian.
Also I seem to be able to use one half of the PrCs abilities or alternatively the other half. I think I'm stuck.

Speaking of reading comprehension, is it accurate that judges such as myself have only 6 days to read and complete analysis on all the entries? What happened to our usual two weeks?

I'm guessing that's wrong - originally Kuulvheysoon had the time to build ending a week early, so this is probably a remnant of that.

I'm also hoping that my idea is not taken, although I've been lucky on that end before - the only time someone else DID use more or less the exact same build concept I did, I ended up with the gold. Still, I always feel a little better when I'm the only one who has gone a certain direction.

Also, one of the reasons I abandoned my other build was that I was pretty sure someone else WOULD take it... We'll see!
