My second build idea tried to get into ravager of tiamat. But it was hard and flunky as hell, so I discarded it.

My third idea, which I ended not having time to go over, was a dragonborn warforged artificer 5 / Dragon prophet 5 / Talon of Tiamat 10, at least it would have been original.

Fighter levels surprise me. Reading over [redacted]'s entry I remembered some [redacted] stuff that I forgot to add to my entry (but took into account when selecting ingredients). Well, too bad, it's a minor thing and I'll mention it once the judging is done.

I also hate spotting errors/nitpicks (now) on my submission

Wharghabl that's a lot of entries. I gotta judge so many...

I was cooking up a Necropolitan Lesser Mechanatrix Artificer 10/ToT 10. ToT actually lacks any of the restrictions that normally lock out Artificer advancement. It used the breaths to heal golems and itself. Used energy immunity to gain at least resistance to all four major energies, and was mounted with a lance and Clockwork Armor on a Winter Wolf familiar, qualified for via "as a sorcerer" shcoking grasp SLA. I wasn't satisfied with it because it didn't much use the rest of the ingredient, though.

I was working on either a Hexblade7/Talon of Tiamat10/Nightmare Spinner3 or a Hexblade1/Bard4/Talon of Tiamat10/Nightmare Spinner5. Basically the same build with a few minor differences. It didn't really do anything special other than the fear/save debuff/entangling breath synergy.

I was also going to try to fit in an improved familiar which demoralized using the never outnumbered skill trick. I'm not even sure if that little piece of cheese works. Can a familiar use skill tricks; I've never seen it used before? Familiars use your ranks in skills and skill tricks are bought with skill ranks...

I don't think that familiars can use skill tricks, as they aren't skill ranks anymore, although it is a good idea.

It is interesting how everyone used some sort of intimidation optimization (which is easy to do), who is the best intimidator?

I didn't go for quite a few things because I thought they'd be obvious.
Hexblade was one of my first inklings, as was the evil alternate paladins. My first idea was a Zhentarim Dungeoncrasher Fighter 10/Talon of Tiamat 10, trying to build a nasty fear control build with overlapping fear auras, adding some control options to the breath weapons and making use of all that intimidate, my worry was mainly in the secret ingrediant and originality departments. I was worried that Zhentarim Fighter seemed a bit too obvious, and it didn't make any use of the Talon's spellcasting; the last two levels were also kind of redundant for the build. I liked the build though so I might actually finish it up and see what how it works.

While I was building my submission I had another idea that I was leaning towards, it was going to be like [Redacted], but with dread witch levels added instead of [Redacted].

Well, given asto how the SI both required and gave a bonus to Intimidate, you'd have to be daft not to.

I was considering working with a second idea of Barbarian X/Rogue Y/Fatemaker 5/ToT 10, where X and Y add up to 5 in whichever way worked out best to meet the requirements of the other 2 classes. He would've really gone the intimidator route and combined that with sneak attacks, fatemaker spells, and all the ToT abilities. Time held me back plus I could decide on a race or anything else to focus on with the feats other than intimidation. It would have been worth a try.

Looking at all these I'm not so sure whether mine is all that original anymore...we'll see what the judges think.

I'm probably gonna look at all these in more detail just to see what more I can learn, but I'm picking up information quickly. I just had to read that Spyro one it was brilliant and hilarious.

The entry I tried to 'brew up was a dedicated cheese-embracing mounted combat build: Venerable Dragonwrought Desert Kobold, Hexblade 6 / ToT 10 / Incantatrix 4 with Persist shenanigans. Having a dragon mount as a familiar was a key component.

But it really didn't hit its stride until the very high levels, and even then there were too many ToT features it really wasn't using.

Oddly enough my second build idea was not used, though I know why. My plan was to use... something to enter ToT, then take levels in dragon samurai. It's certainly not a great class, but it allows breath weapon damage to stack with that of ToT, gives immunity to dragon fear (which ToT bizarrely doesn't give), and free 1d6 energy damage on a weapon, possibly exploitable for all weapons.

I also considered dragon samurai though I didn't use it because dragon samurai is element focused while talon of tiamat goes for the full range of elements.

On another note I updated the earlier table to have links to all the builds.

My build was Hexblade 4/ToT 10/Hexblade +6 (or Abjurant Champion 5/Hexblade +1). Using Maximize Breath and Empower Supernatural Ability to boost breath damage, and Hexblade's Curse/Dark Companion to lower saves. Otherwise relying on Power Attack/Leap Attack for melee damage. Nothing too exciting - pretty vanilla.
