I believe they were clicking through to the older rounds' threads and having a hard time sifting through to find the entries and results. I experienced the same problem, which is why I started keeping my spreadsheet and the Hall of Heroes...both of which are in desperate need of updating. Maybe I'll be able to get to it after vacation.

    I meant all the builds.

Is it too much trouble to look in the thread? Well I can do it (and I do) but it's annoying (especially in the longer IC threads). Now I'm used to it since I've been doing it for so long that I know where the builds are. When I was new to the contests it took more time. And on the flipside, is it too much trouble to edit links to the builds in the OP?

Of course this is pretty moot now since OMG Ponies is working on the HoH thread but before he did I think it was a valid point.

    EDIT: Ninja'd.

We could create a new thread for the reveals/judging/whinging/celebrating: that way the builds themselves would be easier to find.

And now I made something that isn't nearly as terrible as the previous build. Granted, it's still terrible, but I might get a middle-of-the-road result as usual...with my trademark 1.5 in Elegance, but still. Maybe mattie_p will be our judge if I can sumbit before deadline.

    I meant:
We have the usual IC thread then at the time of the reveal the chairman starts a second thread with the builds in them.
This would mean having two threads per IC, but you could navigate to the builds more easily.

    It's just an idea.

It seems like it would be a lot more cluttered than just having single thread for all of them. What are it's advantages over what Mr. Ponies is already doing?

    Word.

This has been done before, for some Homebrew contests as well as for most PbP games ... and I find it very off-putting. Opening two threads and comparing them chronologically is a lot of annoying work.

I think Ponies' hall of fame thread is a better solution to the problem (which is, admittedly, a problem).

I've been tossing around an idea for a week or so now, but I haven't actually decided whether or not to take more levels of [REDACTED] or finish out [REDACTED] instead. I could use my levels of [REDACTED] somewhere else in the build, but I feel like it'd look like sloppy dipping.

Won't be able to do any more work on it til Wednesday, since I'm not able to use my home computer til then. So I'm going to have to really push through the rest of what I need to do.

The fun is playing a game of with a table of classes and feats, etc, and then seeing what your results are, and trying to fit them in.

When you end up with a Commoner/Soul Eater/Singer of Concordance with Power Attack and Extra Turning, you know you're onto a winner.

    *Sorry if that's anyone's build.

After the reveal, a lot of people tend to post what they were planning on entering but decided not to do/couldn't work with. I know I will be - but not that particular one.

Edit; Aaaand there's one build in. Going to try and work a second one in now. I've got the stub, and I know where I'm going with it. Just the table, story, write up etc to do.

And submitted, finally. Yeesh, I'm not sure I'll get my second dish submitted in time. It's arguably more powerful than the first, so I hope I can finish putting it together and get some decent fluff stuck to it before the weekend.

    There's nobody here.

Nah, got one dish on the hotplate waiting to be served by our esteemed Maitre'D, and another that's just plating up. Other than that, we're sweet. Looking forward to the release with this. Both of my builds are just... *Out there*.

Finished plating my second dish. I thought I'd never get there. Now I just have to hope the typos kept themselves to a minimum, because I'm leaving tomorrow and won't be able to check in until Monday.

I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone else did with this.

Sounds like a more than interesting distraction/investment of time. I just need to work out a few more little things for my dish, and I should have it in tomorrow. I'm eagerly ready for this.
