My first attempt at an avatar =)

Well... he looks like a revolutionary war soldier in platemail and carrying a big mace. In general, it came out better than I'd expected I'd do (I'm a horrible artist, even at stick figure art) though it was not meant to resemble any Revolutionary War figures in any way. =) That was kind of an accident. I started making a helmet and it looked all wrong, and I kept playing with it and ended up with this... figured I'd leave it, it at least looks different I suppose. =)

I think, especially for your first time, it looks awesome.

And, if you ever want another avi, but don't want to make it yourself, you can always go to the adoption center and request and avatar threads.

And aye, the mace is a bit big. I wanted it to be a nicely sized two-handed mace... but I think it's turned into more of a mid-sized battering ram now. =) lol

Quite good for a first try.
What program are you using?

My humble suggestions:

Thicker lines. 2pt/px is best.
Add the "U" fingers to the hands.
The head should be much bigger.
