    It is indeed sudden. However, note the following:

    Umuga is both meticulous and paranoid. He has reason to suspect that someone's after him, since his mercs got monk'd. He is also powerful enough to put those monsters on sentry.

    I'd like to do something with the surprise round, but a little more detail might help What kinds of summoned monsters do we see? Is it apparent that they are actually summoned, as opposed to just being just normal minion monsters? Just wondering....

    Three minor constructs, an ooze, three or four dire rats, and an ogre. The constructs seem to be mages, and they stand in a triangular fashion, ogre at the front, dire rats in a mob behind her, oozes behind them, and constructs behind them.

    She can charge as part of a surprise round, and that should trigger pounce, which one way or another means she can flurry. Alternately, Panther Prowls the night grants an extra move action each turn, and then use the surprise round standard action to flurry.

    Initiative, since the last one didn't work: (1d20+10)[20]

    Knowledge Devotion (her draconic invocation allows her to make Knowledge checks untrained for categories in which she lacks ranks):
    on the ogre and dire rats: +6 int +6 invocation +4 luck (1d20+16)[33]
    on the oozes: +6 int +6 invocation= (1d20+12)[32]
    on the constructs: +20= (1d20+20)[39]

    Irritatingly, Knowledge Devotion means I have to double post, since you can't edit rolls back into something already posted.

    Not sure what I need to hit, but I'll note that attacks 5 and 7 are critical threats, as her range is 19-20/x3.


    Using the momentum of her charge, she rolls into a hand stand facing away from the ogre, bringing a heavy axe kick down on it's chest, aiming for the sternum. Springing back to a basic low stance, she launches two spinning left kicks at the ogre's left knee, landing off the second kick on her left leg, pivoting to face away from the ogre, then driving kick #4, a rising right rear kick, into it's groin.

    Switching to punches, she delivers three punishing strikes to the ogre's side, working up from the right knee, kidney, and underarm. With a kick-step flourish, she returns to her original space, hands up and ready to block.

    Ooh, sorry to mention this: ogre has a spiked chain. With reach. So she gets an AoO before dying.
    Does a 29 hit your AC?
    Oh, wait, I can just check your sheet.
    It deals 23 damage before falling dead to the ground.

    Well, the others haven't responded in a while now. I'll PM them to chck up on them, but they'll delay until further notice.

    The dire rat pack moves forward, provoking an AoO each (a dozen) from Sirachoé, before attacking her viciously, but all miss anyways.
    I'll need a marching order. Also, choosing a leader would be nice.

    Mika sweeps motes of dust up before blending with her surroundings. Mika had one thought before going in. Target practice, makes for a nice warm-up before the main course. I wonder how long those construct lasts under constant pressure.

    You hit all of them except one, causing them to die, twitch, and disappear in a puff of smoke.
    The constructs move forwards slowly and steadily. Each one casts a Magic Missile at Sirachoé.

    One of the spells fizzles, and the construct looks at you, assessing you as a threat.
    The others hit, dealing 12 damage to Sirachoé.

    Elyna raises an eyebrow at the spell she'd instinctively dispelled, reacting without even thinking. Somehow, I'd expected them to be a bit stronger. Trading a spell of the third valence, for a mere first-valence spell is a bit poor use of my resources. Sloppy, sloppy, Elyna.

    "I'm going to have to fall back a bit...damn, f***, damn...yeah, I'm hurt," she says, inspecting the damage from the magic missiles.

    And here's a reminder that she's still raging, so any rat that attacks her takes 5 points of sonic damage.

    Sirachoé is badly injured, lacerated in the gut from the chain and bruised from the magic missiles. She can be fairly certain that a rib is broken.
    I guess I'll NPC Terjon and Mika for a little bit, then.
    Terjon steps forward carefully, putting himself between the ooze and the constructs and Sirachoe.
    "You look injured; but how bad is it? Do you want to keep going, or should you step back and let Wakaba, Mika, and me finish them off?"

    Elyna pauses as a lull appears in the battle. Doesn't seem like there's much else I can do here besides uselessly dispel one Magic Missile at a time. Or plink away at them with my crossbow. You need some more and better spells, Elyna. Or unless one of them wants to be enlarged. Hey, actually that's a good question, might be worth asking.

    I can increase the size of any of you if you'd like. Or I can dispel the next Magic Missile or plink away at them with my crossbow, neither of which seem very useful.

    On her turn, she takes her extra move to Tumble (1d20+18)[20] up to 40' if necessary to avoid AoO, then switches to Rabbit Outruns Fox (40% miss chance), before taking the withdraw action. (I think so far she only acted in the surprise round...I'm not totally clear on the initiative order, since several party members weren't here to roll). She's looking for cover, ignores difficult terrain, and can move up to 200' in pursuit of the cover.
