Ok, you can take it down if you want.

A few words of explanation:

We have a computer in the lab whose only role left in life is to run a simple experimental setup that can be used to scan the surface of the photovoltaic cells that we make. We mainly use it to gauge the thickness of a device by scratching it and measuring the depth. As a result, this computer (which still runs Windows 98, and which I am posting on now) is rather neglected (and old).

I'm doing something for which having the full plot (the text file of which I posted above) is useful, because my samples have a high degree of surface roughness.

As a result, I wanted to get the files I was using off of the computer.

The computer would not recognize USB.

It could not write to floppy disks, insisting that they were damaged.

When we finally got it hooked up to the internet, it could not access the group's server over LAN because it supplied a default user, when you have to input a given user/password combination to log in.

I thought I could email it to myself.

I was wrong.

The internet is an incredibly harsh place for someone using an Internet Explorer that might not have been updated in this millenium. I could log into Gmail but it would then crash; Dropbox's pages loaded as blank screens and half formed images, and the website that I can normally use to get to the group's server from home did not support my browser.

I tried to install a more up to date version of Firefox (while flailing around on a website where most pages only barely loaded garbled fractions of themselves), but the ones I could find did not support Windows 98.

So, I turned to a website that I thought might be simple enough for my browser to handle. I was pleasantly surprised when it worked.
