The Water:
Adrian lands squarely in the dark, icy water - or would have, had his aim not been so damn good. Instead, he lands practically on top of the werewolf, eliciting a yelp from the beast at the sudden, unexpected weight.
Howls answer from the nearby shore.

The Water
The wolf turns on Adrian, snarling and snapping, but never once connecting. Registering him as a frie - well, as not an enemy, it turns, starts swimming once more. On the distant shore you can make out shapes moving along the bank.

The Black Lady
The boat comes slowly to a halt, anchor trailing along the silty bottom of the fjord. From a distance, you can see Adrian and the werewolf bobbing next to each other briefly, and then the wolf turns, heads for shore.

The Water
The werewolf draws ever closer to shore, occasionally glancing back at you and snarling a little. As you draw nearer, the shapes on the shoreline become more and more distinct - they, too, are were, though not all of them are werewolves. You see wereboars, werebears, were-eagles, werefoxes, werebadgers - even a werelizard of some sort. In all, there are almost two dozen were pacing the shoreline, waiting for Trask.
There werewolf is slowly pulling away from you in the water, and makes land ten or twenty feet from you. The others gather around him immediately, and he disappears from view. Already, a few of the creatures are disappearing into the trees.
The Black Lady
From a distance, you can see one of the figures in the water, the wolf, most likely, reach the shore and disappear among the crowding shapes. Adrian still remains in the water for now.

The Shoreline
As Adrian watches, the werefolk begin disappearing, in ones and twos, back into the treeline. No movement is made in his directions, and no notice is taken of his presence.
Finally, after only a few minutes, the last of the werefolk disappears from view. Distant rustlings mark their passage through the forest for a while, and then....nothing.

The Fjord
Day breaks. You've spent a long night anchored in the middle of the icy waters of the fjord. Autumn's chill has been setting in, and this far north, that chill has a particular bite to it. Already, frost has started forming over the ground during the night.
Last night was...strange. Your employer turned out to be a werewolf, but he was no bloodthirsty monster. Neither were his fellow were, who met him on the banks of the fjord and escorted him back into the forest. After they left, the howls of the night subsided a little, but not entirely. Near dawn, they finally ceased entirely.
Now, the small flame of the sun is rising over the horizon. Frost glistens on the trees, and the black water around your ship is completely still. No clouds are in sight, and the chill air mists as your breath hits it. Trask told you that you should reach the village today, but now...he's gone, and hasn't yet shown up.

Maahes spots a plume of smoke above the trees. "It seems strange that these were-creatures did not attack us. They also seemed to have human level intelligence. I suspect that plume of smoke might be from their camp, or even possibly a village. It looks like we could get there in about 3 hours."

I make some harmless servants out of dead bodies that nobody is using, and I'm a monster... but this disease-ridden mongrels cavorting around possibly infecting everyone with their filth, we're all okay with? By the gods, you landies have the absolute worst moral codes I've ever seen.... it's like nobody would ever know what's an abomination to you and what is suddenly an interesting new field trip.
Why exactly aren't we high-tailing it out of here? Or, as I'm more use to this crew doing... firing up the torches and getting weapons ready?"

Willem sets his whale and sharks to guard the ship again, circling around it and protecting it, and disbarks the ship with his two remaining bugs. He heads off with anyone else who is walking, heading towards the smoke.

The forest is dark, with pines blocking out the light from above. Needles crunch under your webbed feet, and forest creatures scurry away at your approach. It'll take you a few hours to reach the smoke, but at least, you think, you're doing something now.

The five of you, after hours of walking, come out of the treeline, and spot the source of the smoke. There's a village here, bustling with life. You're spotted quickly, and approached by one of the villagers, an elderly woman with long, white hair, and yellow eyes.
"Greetings! You must be Trask's friends. I'm Madra, the alchemist. Come, come, our village council will want to meet with you."
