Just got back from the movies! Pacific Rim is officially the first 3D flick I've seen that hasn't gotten me motion sick. I can't tell if it's because it was done in a different way, I've gotten used to it, or my sheer willpower to continue watching the movie overrided my bodily functions.
Then I got lost on the rainy car ride home. Twenty minutes and some Google-maps later, I'm safe at home. Yay, successful evening.

It's still worth it, I really just wish I got more sleep and was a little more engaged.

Sometimes I wish, but not often, gossamer thing clothing just wouldn't work at my geographical position. Sometimes it's thinner than men's clothing, sometimes thicker, but mostly it's the same.

I'm always confused when I remember that Britain has cheeseburgers. But yes, they are one of the best foods when I'm tipsy+.

I do miss a good cheeseburger, they just aren't done very often down here except in chippies (though I don't go out the restaurants very often (read: maybe once a year) down here), and then it's just a burger (hopefully not nuked to reheat) with a slice of cheese on top.
Though we do occasionally make them at home. Angus beef burgers, cheddar cheese, bacon and tomatoes between thick, wide buns. Problem is the buns are so soft that they disintegrate really quickly.
Now I want a cheeseburger.

Why is this confusing? Why would Britain not have cheeseburgers?
Actually, lately whenever I've gotten a cheeseburger while out somewhere it's been somewhat lacklustre, but this was a homemade cheeseburger, which is pretty much always amazing (which adds further incredulity to my reactions to cheeseburgers in cafes and pubs - if I can do this this well, why can't they manage it?)

Oh gods... That's wonderful. Homemade cheeseburgers are the food we were meant to eat. Though it's kind of amusing that pubs are bad at it, but... well, I think, aren't pubs supposed to be not that good at food as some kind of cultural institution deal? Best burger I've had was from an Irish pub here in town. They also have a guido burger which is big enough to feed 3 people. Sooooo goood....

At the risk of sending you to some horrible horrible hell; /tg/ is a SFW board at 4chan with 500x the posting speed of giantitp; they tend to have a lot more heated and fast discussion and their story-times are certainly more engaging. On the other hand they still are a part of 4chan so civility is not to be expected but at least it DOES manage to be SFW and the lack of certain rules allow some rather interesting topics to surface and be explored.

I'll have you know that I would gladly get up 5 hours early for that kind of money, boredom or no.

Also, there is never slow posting on the forums for me. One of my PbP DMs does not appear to sleep at all. I've seen him post at all hours.

I often do, but it's really hard to sleep sitting in a chair and I can't lean on my desk and sleep because then it's really obvious.

Try checking your theatre again later? Mine didn't update with PR until its first matinee time today. It's the only advice I can give.
