Re: OOTS #906 - The Discussion Thread
Woah. Okay, I was not expecting that turn of events. Guess Nale really is evolving.
Though this...Durkula's free. He's free and the Order's in danger. Time to see how much of Durkon is left.
Also, that was about as disturbing as Implosion.Last edited by CoffeeIncluded; 2013-07-28 at 11:05 PM.

Re: OOTS #906 - The Discussion Thread
I think we just got an answer to the "Why didn't Nale attack the OotS while they were vulnerable?" arguments.
He wanted to attack someone else while he was vulnerable.

Re: OOTS #906 - The Discussion Thread
Nice one Nale. Seriously didn't think he had that in him. Of course this now opens up the one thing the OOTS need right now to save them, AND it gives Vampire Durkon the very spell he needs to exist. Brilliant!
Now it's time to see just how much of the old Durkon remains.

Re: OOTS #906 - The Discussion Thread
I feel sad about the events of this update. I'm also not hopeful about what will happen about the only other vampire within distance of the remarkably deadly Nale.

Well.
I wasn't expecting Malack todiebe destroyed so soon.
Now I guess we'll find out what kind of person free Durkula will be.

Re: OOTS #906 - The Discussion Thread
I wonder how Tarquin will react to Nale doing something effectively.
Seriously: He got rid of the hired help, observed the situation, devised a plan, and executed it perfectly -with quips no less!
So on the one hand Tarquin's oldest friend is dead. On the other his son has finally done something to make him proud. Of course, he may not ever hear about what happened, and if he does he will be disappointed in Nale for letting him discover it (either through bragging or failing to tie up loose ends).Calling it now: Kilkil kills Belkar
Edit: WRONG!
Calling it now #2
SpoilerAfter the showdown at Girard's gate, the party will rush to Kraagor's gate to find it was in Durkon's home fortress-burrow-thing. They will complete the Prophasy, and Team Evil will come riding over the horizon slaughtering everything that gets in their way.
Not wrong quite yet!

I've never really liked Nale, until now. That was great.
And hopefully this releases Durkon. He just needs to avoid Greater Dispel messing up his day.Last edited by jmucchiello; 2013-07-28 at 11:09 PM. Reason: I can't spell

Re: OOTS #906 - The Discussion Thread
whoa! Nale! that….was actually pretty competent of you. scarily competent.
your chances of killing Tarquin just gone up a level!
yea, as I said before.
Nale may be a cowardly, backstabbing paranoid villain….
but he is not stupid.

I want to say "Called it!" in regards to why Nale didn't pursue. I want to cheer that Nale finally rid us of half the Overrated Duo. But damn, thinking about murder since 9? Nale is a psychopath!

Re: OOTS #906 - The Discussion Thread
Dang, that is defiantly something I did not expect. Glad to see Nale is growing, I was afraid he'd stay as the loser brother until he dies, but now he's just accomplished one of his goals (though I'm disapointed Malak had to die.
Tarquin is hopefully next. :P).
Go Nale!

Re: OOTS #906 - The Discussion Thread
This kinda makes me wonder if Nale and Malack have any other bad blood between them. He's wanted to kill Malack since he was nine? He killed Malack's children as a practice run? Did Malack do something special to deserve that, or do you guys think Nale will try this with Tarquin's other friends?

Re: OOTS #906 - The Discussion Thread
You know what's deliciously ironic, something you always see but yet never gets old? Malack was always like, "You die when you die, accept your fate, you're a slave to your god, death and destruction, blah blah blah," and yet at the very end, he pleads to Nergal to save his (un)life.

Re: OOTS #906 - The Discussion Thread
You think he would keep the spell that supresses his greatest weakness on something like a ring that wouldnt be so easily lost.
On an unrelated note i was looking in the libris mortis and i found a spell that can bring a destroyed undead back to unlife. If necromancy is wrong i dont want to be right.

I have actually never been made so angry by an event in OOTS that I can recall. Huh. How odd.
