    Heh, stabbytown.

Also, I guess this debunks the "Durkon's gonna kill Belkar" theories, at least for now. If Durkon wanted to kill Belkar, then self-defense would have been a good justification.

    Belkar, follow your heart!

But, but where did Haley get the arrows from?

Second to last panel is hilarious. Belkar just casually has his blade sticking out of Durkon's beard.

I like how, rather than being shouted at or grabbed by the others, Belkar's attack peeters out from sheer lack of enthusiasm.

Gee, Roy's taking this really well. Although the middle of battle is admittedly not a good time for dwelling on things.

Interesting that Durkon seems to be using the staff as a melee weapon full-time.

Oh, sure - laugh. Most people do - the full scope and tragedy doesn't really hit until it's someone you love who's got a terminal case of hole-in-the-trachea.

So now they will need to find V, Tarquin has to arrive with whatever he's got planned, and they will escape into the rift I'd guess. I still wonder where Haley's dad is though.

Belkar's always done more damage than you'd expect from someone dual wielding daggers. Doesn't look like he did much though. And of course it'll heal up very fast.

Was kind of expecting them to wittle the SI elemental down in size before it died, but then I guess there's not really any reason for that to happen.

I'm guessing that the reason he's using the staff now is due to his no longer being able to use his hammer? Probably something to do with changing alignments/no longer following Thor? Which god does he follow now anyway?

I love how Roy specifically needed two potions: one to heal the original injury, one to heal the previous attempt to heal the injury
A game is a fictional construct created for the sake of the players, not the other way around. If you have a question "How do I keep X from happening at my table," and you feel that the out-of-game answer "Talk the the other people at your table" won't help, then the in-game answers "Remove mechanics A, B, and/or C, impose mechanics L, M, and/or N" will not help either.

That looks like Durkon's using his new Dominating Gaze without much effort. It'll be interesting how much control he has over his new condition with the coming battles.

That or he wants to have it handy in case his protection from daylight gets dispelled? Didn't help Malack, but Durkon is probably harder to disarm.

Belkar says "If trying to eat me isn't enough to pay his fare to Stabbytown..."

I'm confused. When did Durkon try to eat Belkar?

Oh wait, when he was under Malack's command right at the creation moment. Still, it took me a bunch of typing to get that one. If he'd said, "trying to feed on me", I might have gotten it instantly...

this is probably my own fault.
