    A long, stone table dominates the center of this chamber, and bright bits of gold wink from within the dust that covers the floor.

    There are voids in the dust pattern, as if a body had been lying on the table and the dust on the floor shows markings of where several items have been scooped up.

    The crumpled form of a dead goblin lies in a corner of this room, Dandelion witnessed it being slain by the mummy and the disturbances in the dust pattern bear witness to the same.

    At the end of this hallway is a small chamber whose wooden door lies on the floor. The smell of dust pervades the air, and the sound of thunder is muted here. Numerous body-shaped lumps are visible through the doorway, each wrapped carefully in layers of grey thread like woven mummies.

    Yuck, spiders. I hate spiders. They give me the creeps. Liandra answered. I can light them up. The halflings hand started to shine with bright flames and then she lobbed them at the webs, hoping to ignite them.

    Liandra's launches a bolt of fire at the silk wrapped forms but it is intercepted on route by a fine web that covered the doorway.

    The web bursts into flames, spreading out from the point of interception in an amazingly pretty pattern, the fire spreads out of sight to the ceiling of the room beyond.

    An Angry Chittering shows that something didn't appreciate its home being burnt and a series of thuds sound as several giant spiders drop to the ground to get away from the fire.

    The remaining spiders run out of the room and down the corridor, taking to the walls and ceiling to get past the intrepid adventurers that would otherwise trap them within a burning room.

    the spiders are now behind you, unless they die on top of you.


    It seems the spiders left just in time, as a mass of burning webbing hits the floor, along with many hundreds of smaller spider bodies, all in an interesting crispy texture.

    Balenor, prepared for the spiders to come by, tries to attack, but the first one misses, his injury, and the pain resulting from it, enough to make it very difficult to attack overhead. Still, he makes a second strike, hoping that it is a bit more lucky.

    Hannah and Balenor both strike true and each one slays another spider.
    Balenor's spider slides down his blade when it loses it's grip upon the wall. With a Flick of his wrist Balenor clears his blade from the corpse, controlling its fall so that it tumbles to the floor next to him.

    DC13 reflex save for Balenor: Pass and he can cleanly drop the spider to the ground with a smooth disengage, Fail and the spiders weight will trap the sword. Passed.

    Eilly sighed, pulling out the still-soaked towel and placing it over her mouth and nose as she started to go through the room, slowly watching for signs of trouble - or loot to stash for later splitting.

    The lumps in the chamber are the dead, mummified bodies of literally hundreds of rats, plus various humanoids.

    The numerous weapons are rusted to uselessness and much of the clothing and armour is similarly tattered but 3 well made sets of chain mail and one breastplate have survived both the passage of time and the recent fire in amazingly good condition.
