Re: OOTS #924 - The Discussion Thread
OMG, we finally get to see a fully geared up and motivated Tarquin! Should be an impressive display of what he can do when he's motivated.
Didn't see this coming- great job again by the Giant!

Wonder what favour Laurin's got in mind - I've a feeling Tarquin won't like it somehow.

Rut row! It isn't over until General Tarquin says it's over!
I wonder if Tarquin will help Our Heroes, or just try to take on sub-boss Xykon by himself...Thanks to Ceika (X2), Yeril, Holammer and Dr. Bath for the Avatars!

Re: OOTS #924 - The Discussion Thread
Turns out Tarquin's team is quite coherent and cooperative once they have an incentive to work together. Bad news for our heroes.

Re: OOTS #924 - The Discussion Thread
Wow, should have seen that coming.
I'm not familiar with wormholes in D&D, is that something specific to psionics?
I suspect Laurin's favor has something to do with her daughter.

Re: OOTS #924 - The Discussion Thread
This isn't good. It's too bad that Miron and Laurin don't know what's going on, since I doubt they'd be as enthusiastic as Tarquin about interfering with Roy & friends trying to save the world.

Re: OOTS #924 - The Discussion Thread
Well then, three extremely high level adventurers, one of which was able to stand against most of the order alone for a few rounds, and he wasn't even a spellcaster like these two (most likely for Miron) are.
This is going to get interesting.

Re: OOTS #924 - The Discussion Thread
I'm predicting a TPK for Tem Tarquin when this is all over. Or at least being reduced to the two that are left who aren't there at the time.

Re: OOTS #924 - The Discussion Thread
Oh crap.
Seems like Tarquin doesn't have that much control over his team. At the same time, though, calling in a twelve-year-old marker and making a new one... He's serious about this.
I wonder what Laurin's counter-favor is going to be. I doubt Tarquin will like it, from her expression.I'm playing Ironsworn, an RPG that you can run solo - and I'm putting the campaign up on GitP!

Re: OOTS #924 - The Discussion Thread
I figured he'd go chasing after them. Also nice reasonable negotiation for levering help!

Re: OOTS #924 - The Discussion Thread
Any thoughts on what Laurin's favor will be? I'm very intrigued by this new development -- and I think it speaks volumes to Tarquin's dedication. Unfortunately, I also think it will be his downfall.

Re: OOTS #924 - The Discussion Thread
Actually, I'm a bit disappointed in Tarquin. As genre savvy as he generally is, he should know when to cut his losses.
Note that I'm saying I'm disappointed in the character, not the comic.

78% of all DM's start their first campaign in a tavern. If you're among the 22% who didn't, copy and paste this into your signature and tell us where you DID begin.

Re: OOTS #924 - The Discussion Thread
Seems like Tarquin &Co aren't worried at all, about going after the higl-lvl adventurers of OOTS with a ratio of 3 to 6. Some confidence, there!
BTW I definitely didn't expect this! And somewhat strange, too, that Tarquin decided to go after the OOTS, but only after they had left the crater where his minions added to his superiority. Makes the large loss of soldiers even more of a waste. Except that it contributed to draining the OOTS somewhat of their resources, of course.Last edited by Edhelras; 2013-10-14 at 07:56 AM.

Re: OOTS #924 - The Discussion Thread
Will it hurt Team Tarquin that Laurin had to use some more juice for another wormhole, or is she likely to have plenty left anyway as a high-level psionic?
