Default Skyrim on a Macbook Air?

    Hey GITP

I recently purchased a mid 2013 Macbook Air from Apple, and I wanna know if there is anyway I can play Skryim on it, ASIDE from Bootcamp.

    Specs:

Processor: 1.3 GHz Intel Core i5
    Memory/RAM:8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
    Graphics:Intel HD Graphics 5000 1024 MB

Do you any of you tech people out there know how I can get Skryim on here?

    Notes:
I have Skyrim purchased on Steam.
I would prefer this to be simple.
I will NOT do anything illegal.
As noted above, I do not want "Bootcamp" as an answer, rather something else I can do to run it on my mac.

    Thanks

Wine claims to support Skyrim and wine can be run on a Mac. I can't comment as to whether it will run or how well, but Bootcamp is probably easier.

    WINE, a Windows compatibility layer.

Skyrim's WINE database entry makes it look very promising: two Silvers, three Golds, and a Platinum.

I have CrossOver, but I got that AFTER I started playing Skyrim on Bootcamp, and since I didn't want to lose my save files, I never tried it. It claims to support it, though, so you can try it out.

I do not know about compatibility with modding.

CrossOver is a commercial fork of Wine.

I'm not sure how it differs.

It's a heck of a lot easier to use, I can tell you that much.
