    Default Avia Races (4e homebrew)

Hello all! This is my first attempt at homebrewing for a new game I'm running. I've been working on a few attempts at giving the bird races good stats and such based on their folklore and biology, and so far I have three, (am considering more, but for now, three is enough for me.) Ravens, Robins, and Bluejays.
    Ravens:

This reminds me of a short game I played in highschool. Completely homebrewed the rule system. The party consisted of a brown rat (tough and strong, good at swiming), as black rat (nimble and excellent jumper/climber) and a flying squirrel (good climber that can glide down from high places)

As for your birds I would think the raven would be + int + cha, they are clever birds, smart and good at mimicing sounds, a mongrelfolk like ability to mimic sounds would be good. They would be skillful and make great conmen. And if they can get a feat to throw their voice it would pair greatly with a mimic ability. Imagine the fun that could be had when the villian is about to strike the killing blow when he suddenly hears a red tailed hawk scream from behind, turns quickly to face this greater threat, nothing there, turns back to the raven, nothing there either.

I could see that working. A basic mimic power, possibly to replace the current racial power?
    A cool idea
