    in pathfinder, is there any way to mitigate the casting time penalty for spontaneous casters using metamagic?

    You could quicken it as the casting time penalty doesn't apply to that feat in PF.

    Use the sorcerer's Arcane bloodline. Metamagic Adept and the capstone (Arcane Apotheosis) provide methods of metamagic casting time mitigation.
