Okay, yesterday I took longer on that essay than anticipated so didn't get started breeding. I am starting now.

Top vote contender is Mawile, so he's up first. I'll breed probably a couple dozen of these things with at least 5IVs (If I get lucky and get a handful of 6IVs I'll pass those out as well).

Given Mawile's main use is his awesome mega evolution, and that overwrites abilities, I'm assuming that which ability doesn't matter much. Both Intimidate and Hypercutter have their uses on Mega-Mawile, while Sheer Force really does not. So I'll be avoiding the hidden ability, probably focusing on intimidate (but still getting what 20% Hyper Cutter if anyone prefers that).

Looking at Smogon, most of the recommended non-levelup moves come off Gen5 tutors, which I can't use because lolpokebank. Looking at Serebii's list of egg moves, the best things there seem to be the Elemental Fang line. I think I'll throw on Ice Fang to make up for the fact I can't get Ice Punch.

For nature, Mawile's pretty slow and tanky. He's not gonna be outspeeding much of anyone even with +Speed nature ,EVs, and Choice Scarf. Meanwhile, Huge Power makes every point of attack worth twice as much, so he's getting an Adamant nature. If anyone wants one of a different nature, give me a heads up and I'll breed a different nature on towards the end.
If my text is blue, I'm being sarcastic. But you already knew that, right?

Being so slow, I think Mawile would be better in a trick room team. I'd say go for brave instead of adamant.

Of course, if anyone interested in using the thing competitively has other ideas, listen to them instead

I'll just change the Larvitar to Tyranitar(since I don't know if renaming it to Larvitar will let it change when evolving), and Absol to Absol then. If you figure out something later you can trade back for a rename.

Oh, no. Don't worry about that, I'm not a mawile fan, megaevolution or not. I'll take one because I'm like a magpie, but I'm FAR more interested in a staryu than a mawile.
I was just making a suggestion, but don't go an inch out of your plan because of what I think about mawile.

    Adamant is completely fine.

Do you happen to have a male larvitar I want to breed it with my jolly one to get SR on it.

On the note of Mawile, the ability it should probably have is Intimidate, because it gets to use it in the turn it mega evolves to make it even tankier.
Lolth is so scary that even in TO, "having to be touched by Lolth" is recognized as a serious drawback for Lolth-touched.

Thanks to the honedge I got from noparlpf, I can trade brave honedges for anyone who wants one. They come with shadow sneak, 4 IVs guaranteed (If speed, it'll be 0), may take a little time to get a 5 IV one if what I get in return is worth it.

Yeah that's what I'm aiming for (ie mother has intimidate). Hyper Cutter isn't awful either though, since it lets it deal with other pokemon's intimidate before mega evolving. So I'll make a note of how many of each I have when I'm done.

Yes, I've got plenty 4iv, I can breed up a 5 in no time (1/6 chance). Things I am looking for: anything that mega evolves, tentacool, bagon, protean frokie, klefki, other things that I havent thought of.

I can give you a rapid spinning tentacool, a gible (because garchomp really needed to be stronger with a megaevolution) or a timid ralts (megagardevoir) for a scyther.
4 IVs is fine, but if you try to breed a 5 IV one, I'd do the same.

I think I want the Tentacool the most. I just bred 2 gibles the other day, one with each ability. I should be on and breeding around ~6pm GMT -5. If that doesn't work for you, I'll still make the baby (female?) and hold it for better timing.

    RNG is really weird.

Breed 5IV Mawile with 1 IV Granbull for egg moves... first result 5IV male mawile.

Proceed to breed up a separate 4IV female to get luxury balls (because Luxury!), and then get multiple boxes of 4IV mons with only 2 5IVs, both male.

    C'mon RNG, play nice.

    Go for it.

And I'm taking a few hours break from breeding after another 15 mawiles with no 5IVers. (odds as far as I can tell should be 1/12 with a 5IV+4IV and destiny knot. I'm looking at closer to 1/30)

Actually, all baby Pokemon found in the wild have 3 perfect IVs now, so that Azurill wasn't lucky in the slightest.

More precisely, anything that cannot breed. This was probably intended as a lower-code way of making sure legendaries had a good chance of good stats, since they can't be bred for stats.

It hit a few extras. Anyone know if it hits pokes that can only breed with Ditto, not each other?

So what you're saying is that I should catch some wild Riolu to help with the breeding processes.

More more precisely, anything in the Undiscovered egg group. So not things like Beldum that can only breed with Ditto, and obviously not Ditto themselves. Amusingly enough this also includes Nidorina and Nidoqueen, though unfortunately there's no wild Nidoqueen to take advantage of it.

Well, you'd still have to evolve each one through friendship before they could breed, so it's not ideal.
