I did not see that coming Still that is a surprisingly good plan for Elan.

Of course Julio Scoundral's death is almost assured now but hopefully this will turn the tied of battle in the OOTS's favor

I'm speechless. Julio Scoundrel, here? So that was Elan's secret plan? Well, it looks like we got several things resolved simultaneously here. We now know what the secret plan was, and it fits the information we were given. We also know whether Julio was going to show up once again. And it looks like the Mechane's shadow may be just what the doctor ordered for Durk Malackssen.

Of course, there are still questions left here.

Who is going to die? Tarquin, Julio, or both?
If Julio lives, will he join the Order?
Which hints were there that we missed?

    Prediction:
We just saw the means whereby the Order is going to reach the Northern Continent without a teleport: the Mechane.

Wow... I wasn't expecting a Deus Ex Mechane
(edit: just a joke, nothing to see here!)

YES! Best returning plot hook yet!

I liked how Tarquin seems to be slipping even more in his anger. "WE ARE DOING IT AGAIN!" is just great to read, in a way.

Really, i remember someone making the prediction a few strips back and i figured it was going to be coming since. Like Elan said, there were a ton of hints.

Also note the rare shadow in the strip, and a certain vampire eyeing it.

I'm pretty sure somebody (not me) called this in the last thread.

I suppose this airship is sufficient to allow Durkon to cross the sea on their way to the next gate?

Huh, thought I'd have to listen to this. But this is more appropriate!

And look, the Mechane's shadow can even save Durkon!

Well that's surprising. Didn't he say last time that he he showed up again, it would probably be so he could die tragically. Why would he come, knowing that?
