Running Ravnica One-Shot, Need Encounter Advise
System is a slightly modded 3.5 (not that it totally matters, just context). My 3-4 Players will be playing Gruul Clan warriors, random classes, off to assault an Azorius Outpost alongside some allies. They are all lvl 6, and the eight npcs following them are lvl 3. All I have is the following for events:
- Party hits an Azorius roadblock, probably double their number or more (I figure ~24 level 3 guards, if that*)
- Party asked by Mysterious Izzit Goblintm to use strange wand on a particular prisoner in the outpost (he's actually Dimir, and the wand will erase/steal the mind of an Izzit scholar). He offers upfront pay (Boros Demo charge and...I don't know. Some sort of magic items?)
- Party fights through outpost, kills lots of dudes (this time including spellcasters and officers of comparable level to themselves)
- While above happens, Simic bio-monsters crash the outpost (need reason beyond "they got loose!")
- A Sphinx shows up to throw down
tl;dr - I need encounter ideas (I can stat myself, system info above is just for context), as well as ideas for loot and payment for essentially carrying out a Dimir assassination unwittingly
*: We're playing a 3.5 variant that lets players recharge spells and hitpoints with 10-minute rests, in-case this sounded like suicide

Re: Running Ravnica One-Shot, Need Encounter Advise
Orzhov agents attempt to extort a retroactive 'mayhem and murder' tax from the party and their allies?
After the Simic bio-beasts are destroyed, some Golgari necromancers appear and reanimate them for Round 2? (They didn't just get loose, they were deliberately freed by the Golgari and prodded in the direction of someone else capable of killing them).
Rakdos thugs decide to attack the outpost at the same time independently, and decide to simplify matters by killing everyone?NOW COMPLETE: Let's Play Starcraft II Trilogy:
