Hopefully that's a bit better on the knowledge-sharing front

Spreadsheet seems to be working (thanks to Gavran, I believe) and all the numbers are entered. Have at it!

No, that's fine. It's as a result of my awkardness anyways. I just wasn't sure what it was coming from and was trying to figure out if I had missed an ability or something.

Real thanks to the creator for having transparent/consistent functions. :p But it definitely should be fully operational.

Yep, 4 squares. From a side cutaway, it would look like this:

Great! I have a grappling hook and I would like to use that to climb out. Using the grappling hook gives me a +2 to an Athletics check made to climb out of the pit. Climbing is part of a move action.

The DC for climbing a rope is 10 on the Athletics climb table, and I have a base 16 (14 + 2 for using the grappling hook) to climb up the remaining 12 feet to the ledge (reach is height x 1 1/3, and I am over 6' so my reach is at least 8').

Does it seem legit that I can climb out (I'll roll, of course) using a move action?

In game terms, yeah. In "logic terms" you've got to have a place for the hook to catch, get out and throw it, etc. which would be considerably longer.

Not sure what the best way to resolve that is. I wish they had grappling hooks listed as more than part of the climbing kit. For now I'll say you can climb up as a standard and have a move and a minor when you get out. Seem fair?

A Standard seems a very harsh. Especially when you have a creature that can apparently teleport me over into the pit (not sure if the power is at-will or recharge) and potentially cost me my Standard more than once.

Climbing is a Move action. I could see using a Minor to find a good place and to throw the hook, then a Move to climb up.

Minor nitpick: I believe you actually fall prone when you save against dangerous terrain. That's definitely the case for forced movement, though it may not be for dominate. The fluff I think is that it's kind of a "holding onto something" so it doesn't really apply to Dominate. Also it's not there in the blurb Meltheim quoted... I'll double check though. Edit: Nope, not during dominate (or teleport coincidentally).

But yeah, dominate is a bit more anti-fun in PbP I think. :P I'll have to remember that myself. It's until end of next turn though, so not too bad.

Fun hypothetical: I have a daily left that inflictions unconscious (save ends). What happens if I knock out the person dominating someone? I think by RAW it'd keep going, which makes sense if it's fluffed as like... implanted suggestion, but not so much if it's fluffed as direct control.

If inflicting "unconscious" doesn't work, then would inflicting "dead" work?

hey guys out of town right now. Just wanted to let you know though that I'm working on some cool stuff for you to explore next and with some more plot freedom. I know this first bit has been a little railroady while I get used to 4E and develop the world some.

My instict, before I get back to the compendium, is to say that EonT powers would stay in effect but save ends ones can be stopped that way, depending on the exact way it works.

Right now I'm doing 401ks, IRAs and taxes. Dominate means I don't have to think what DEN is doing. Dominate is fine.

Yep, you did. And I like making characters anyway. :p

Though, it's really only particularly applicable if Sathris is the only one that dies. In the event of more casualties or even TPK there's always the opportunity for shuffling and more synergy.

Sorry, I probably should've wrote this post last night but I was super exhausted.

A few questions: is the weakened effect a magical touch thing or an inhaling thing? It is all the green bordered cells? How long does the effect last if we fail the save?
