Re: Teddy's Twofold Tempestuous and Tranquil Random Banter #202
My clothing... depends, really. Normally I'll bother to put on pants, but only after I actually get up... If I don't have to be anywhere, I don't usually get out of bed until I feel like eating something, and that might not be until well into the afternoon; until then, I'm just lying around in my boxers.
*snicker*
Indeed. I nearly always fry bacon shirtless.
Verily, the benefits of not having other people in the house is the quiet and the nekkidness (or near-nekkidness, as is more comfortable in the winter).
Pfthahaha
Well, this is in Massachusetts, so I don't think it'll be quite that warm. You're welcome to go for that manner of island anyway, though.
Eh... it's okay. I'm only okay with it if I'm tidying my own things. The second I have to move someone else's ****, then it's immediately stressful and frustrating.
I HUNGER!
Man, I love Sinistar... I need to get an emulator so I can play the game again, or I need to find the old Williams Arcade set on that one computer that had Sinistar, Joust, Defender, and a few other things... That was fun. God, I love Joust.
No problem - I'm glad I could help. And that you could understand what I was trying to describe...

God dammit I'm glad I'm seeing my gentleman friend this evening, because all this talk of guys lying around in their underwear is starting to mist up my temples.
It makes sense to fry bacon shirtless though, because the little splashes of grease won't leave a mark on your skin -- but they might stain a shirt. Skin can heal; cloth can not.

Oh, I didn't even know it was from a game -- I just think it looks cool.

Re: Teddy's Twofold Tempestuous and Tranquil Random Banter #202
Cooking clothesless?
Well I never wear shoes indoors if I can help it, so I'm eternally besocked or barefoot, and I tend to cook in t-shirts because, as our redoubtable budgie says: 'skin can heal, cloth can not'. And sometimes shorts in the summer.
That's about the limit of my skin baring whilst cooking - or whilst people are up in general - because the kitchens in places I've lived in are very busy indeed. Plus at uni I never locked my room's door meaning my friends could come at visit with only a cursory knock, so being clothed at all times was relatively important.
And I've just noticed that over the past while my posts in RB have been rather sporadic - I pop in, complain and pop out. Even though my Big Complaint kept never getting posted because brain what is brain
My Big Complaint:
End of November: am told by endocrinologist that I can finally have the medication I've been after for about two years, and that he'll write the letter to my doctor giving permission for it to be prescribed, so it should be fine to get by the beginning of next week. Additionally, place an online prescription refill.
The Next Monday: go to doctor for quick check up, to get officially prescribed the medication (it needs face to face discussion because it has some Conditions) only to find out that the letter was never sent. She makes note to have receptionists chase up the specialist to get my letter. Phone up either tomorrow or Monday to see if it's in the system.
On way back home I finally remember to pick up prescription after not picking it up for six days. The prescription was not there. Am told to call up the surgery to make sure it'll be filled out tomorrow so that the pharmacy can rush my prescription.
Tuesday: phone up surgery literally two minutes after it opened, verify that my online request made it through. They promise it will be filled out before the lunch, so any time after that I can pick it up at the pharmacy. Phone up surgery around one(ish) - letter is not in system, have to wait until next Monday.
I arrive at pharmacy at five(ish), having indulged in Pessimism. Prescription was not there, and they'd literally just come back from picking up the latest prescriptions from the surgery. So they call up the surgery and it gets faxed over so I can pick up my regular stuff.
Friday - Sunday: Christmas meetup.
Monday: call up surgery, find out that letter made it into system and am now prescribed the Long Awaited Meds. Prescription is placed and will be pick-upable on Wednesday. Awesome.
Wednesday: Pessism is Very High as I go to pick up the LAM. It's there. And for some reason they also gave me my full usual order too even though I made sure to mention to the receptionist that I needed nothing else.
NHS what are you and why is it always me who suffers from this.
Bathatar!
Squid bones are lies.

Re: Teddy's Twofold Tempestuous and Tranquil Random Banter #202
I wouldn't say opposites as much as alternates. We just haven't come up with enough choices to make it seem that way yet.
I don't like just boxers, honestly. I either want a loose button shirt with it, nothing, or a base tshirt/form of real pants combo.
I am an equal opportunity oogler, so I'd appreciate both genders. *gotta make friends feel awkward in their home, or you aren't do it right*
That must have been some tasty bacon. *wants bacon now*
Making up, eh? Growth spurts are fun!

That cat is so nice! I would be rolling around from the aggressive birdie, personally, until i tired and just lay on the floor as it claimed me as a nest, but very kind fluffy, pacificisticly passive cat.
*comforts the cooing budgie with promises of playing Terran, also gets on starcraft*
And I love leg of lamb. ;___; Greedy. Now I have to go hungry, and look all puffed-out and mopey and sad.
Aww! Look at the cute gallopy horse starting to take over Europe! Let me brush him and feed him an apple!
I should be more careful, you're right, but when I get drunk and try to summon Ovis there just isn't any hope of that.
*Gives Ele a bunch of apples and rants about Starcraft*
Knee can do whatever Knee wants. Especially drunk Knee. I don't think I can say no to somber Knee, drunk Knee could likely command me with but words.

Re: Teddy's Twofold Tempestuous and Tranquil Random Banter #202
...How frequently does this happen? In America, something vaguely similar happens every single time you ever need to got to any medical clinic at all for any reason at all.
What happens here is that you will be told to arrive at least an hour early. The receptionist will wait to call you in until at least three hours after the appointed time (usually significantly more) The time spent in the waiting room is small, however, when compared to the time you need to spend at work to pay for it, no matter how well-paying that job is otherwise. Forcing people to sit in a waiting room must be expensive, based on how much they charge you without doing much else.Last edited by enderlord99; 2013-12-20 at 05:34 PM.

Re: Teddy's Twofold Tempestuous and Tranquil Random Banter #202
My house slippers are not much protection either. I usually don't drop things, but there was this one time a pan somehow flipped off of the stove onto my feet.
I blame the cat.
One of my friends tried to tell me this after I mentioned German double 's' once. However, as my handwriting is a rather odd blend of modern cursive and older handwriting my own 's's are written similarly to those.
Like this but a lot messier, the capitals except for capital 'S' and well, generally everything about my handwriting is worse than proper copperplate but that's how I write my 's's.
I support this idea.
One of my pet peeves is not so much people wearing shoes indoors but people wearing muddied shoes indoors. It's not very nice to trek dirt all through the house for barefoot people to wander in.
I do feel I have to at least wear a shirt and jeans. Though I don't button up the shirt nine times of ten at I can answer the door in a timely fashion.
So cooking without clothes is not really something I am experienced with...
Starcraft II is fun, though I am very bad at it. I play Zerg.I go by they/them/their or he/him/his pronouns

Those moderately-sized, horizontal boxes people put in their signatures. I know what I want on mine, if you're willing to make one for me:
A flag, hung from the top, with Edward Norton's face on it.
You might want to also include the word "banner" in the banner containing the Banner-banner. Or make it textless, either way.Last edited by enderlord99; 2013-12-20 at 07:31 PM.

Oh dear... *eyes light up*
You're still young though Mr Nibbles.
Oh? We could have split his legs now?
I'm sure Zodi has been having it worse though. Although, maybe she has a better heater than you do. I still remember that amusing story she told me about a taxi driver that thought it was negative a million degrees or something for how cold it was..
Perhaps we three should play a game at some point? I barely play any more but I know how to utilise the new units from HotS into existing strategies.
*is now imagining Ele having little sloths on his Tonsils*
So did I.
*must install secret camera*
Okay, that's it, I'm gonna go win the lottery, get a private jet and live with you.
Even in winter here I can be comfortable around the house naked... Although that's usually 'cause of either good heating or good insulation to keep warmth inside. But then, winters are tame here. It's summer you have to watch out for here.
That just makes me imagine you in boxers with like.. A button-up shirt that's open... *tries not to drool*
Sad thing is, housemate wants a girl to replace ex-housemate. Although I can understand reasoning... Girls tend to be more tidy/clean and less likely to be psychopathic, from personal experience.
Tasty tasty bacon. Not as tasty as you though, little Sheepie.
I'm half waiting for a mod to give me a stern talking to about my flirtatious-ness..
ION: I cooked dinner last night. Took like 2 hours. Was so yum. Mince potato bake. Essentially just savoury mince with a bunch of vegetables in it (spring onions, capsicum and carrot) and then put it in a deep-pan oven dish and put a layer of potato slices on top then cover with cheese, shove in oven for like 20-30 minutes. So good.

Probably just hairy and covered in poisonous lichen.
Still unpleasant when it's gotten on my bare waist, so I vote no on anything lower than that.
I dunno, I just thought if you wanted to try your hand at it you should try your hand at it, I didn't have any specific sorts of banners in mind. I suppose you could take a crack at something Random Banter related or something related to your avatar work?
Don't die, Finniana.
My understanding is that's common in academia, so I wouldn't be too concerned by that, I think.
...All this talk of people walking around half-naked reminds me that I haven't gotten to do that in ages...

Re: Teddy's Twofold Tempestuous and Tranquil Random Banter #202
Meanwhile, we're currently in the process of redefining the concept of above average. The last time I saw a weather map, the entirety of Sweden was red, with temperatures way above what you'd consider reasonable to expect. Every day, the prognosis is getting a little warmer, our last heap of snow melted away a pair of days ago, and now I fear for the snow up at our family farm as well, with rain and temperatures up around +5°C promised, when the expected would be at least -5°C to -10°C...
Clouddreamer Teddy by me, high above the world, far beyond its matters...

Re: Teddy's Twofold Tempestuous and Tranquil Random Banter #202
Got my PSAT scores back, I got 99th percentile on Reading, 85th on math, and 86th on writing, which really annoys me. Cumulatively, I'm in the 95th percentile of either the state or the country, not sure which.
Remembered to turn in NHS papers in the nick of time, I should find out if I'm accepted by the 28th- except by then I'll be in California.

Oh, you.
A bit different.
That kind of archaic Banner doesn't really... translate well to digital media though. You're more limited to a form which, at its worst and most recognizable form is represented by banner ads.

Re: Teddy's Twofold Tempestuous and Tranquil Random Banter #202
The first post he made on the subject had nothing to do with the site, as far as I'm aware. It merely said "I'm going to make banners!"
...something along those lines, at least.
Based on the prior context of "I'll be cheering for you," I would say that:
Spoilerwe should ask Cuth to explain what he meant himself, rather than just guessing.
