IC VII Lost in the Flood

Rhenner runs to the end of the corridor, passing by five more inhabited cells as he does. By calling out to Shiny he is able to encourage the gnome to follow along with the light. Finally they reach the end of the corridor, and see a heavy iron door. As it's clearly barred from the inside there is nothing the cleric can shatter with his wand.

"I could open it, though it'll be among the last magic I can cast today," offers a gnome's voice next to Rhenner.

Rhenner winces slightly, he had been so focused on other things he hadn't heard Shiny catch up with him. Or maybe the gnome had used that silence spell too.

"That is bad, but if there's no other way to open it quick, that might be necessary."

After the door has been unlocked*, Rhenner is careful in opening it and doesn't rush in right away. He was reminded of the dangers by being shot at last time. And a barred door might well mean that there are more guards inside, even if you can accomplish all kinds of tricks with magic.

Since Shiny offered, I'm assuming that he is willing to cast the spell.
(I can't think of another way to open the door.)

After a moments hesitation, Natalia draws her foe instead of readying her blades. If they need to run in and attack she can just switch her weapon then and there.

since she couldn't unlock the door, instead she does an arcanist glove cats grace and runs forward, drawing her bow and peering around where the door opens?

Natalia and Rhenner hear Shiny cast an incantation, and the three invisible travelers hear a heavy bar slide and watch the door creak open in front of them. The moment it opens, a drow wielding a pair of blades and a breastplate comes charging out, screaming a battle cry.

Map is updated; look way the hell down to C70. Natalia can have a readied action to shoot him (sneak attack). Then comes the enemy's turn (this was his readied action), then party's initiative.

Counted it up and this next round is the last of Natalia's greater invisibility. Rhenner is (non-greater) invisible for about 3 more minutes.
