Ain't No Rest for the Wicked (OoC)
Hello, everybody! This is our Out of Character thread. Here is the place you can chat about the game, about your characters, basically anything that isn't In Character. Pick speech colors and do whatever else you need to do before we start, because the IC will be up soon.
{table=head]Player|Character|Race|Class|Alignment|Crunch?|Back story?

Reposting houserules here for convenience.
Spoiler: Undead Tier ListTier List for undead templates:
Tier 1: Vampire, Wraith (Savage Species)
Tier 2: Wight, (Savage Species) Mummified Creature (Libris Mortis)
Tier 3: Grave touched Ghoul, (Libris Mortis), Necropolitan (Libris Mortis)
If you want to play another undead template or creature I haven’t covered on this table, PM me and we’ll talk about it. No liches, you aren't high level enough, and no ghosts.
Spoiler: HouserulesThe vampire has only DR 5/silver and fast healing 2. It can use Charm Person at will, and Dominate Person 3/day. They do not receive Combat Reflexes as a bonus feat.
In order to be transformed into spawn by the wraiths create spawn ability, the creature must be killed specifically by having its CON drained to 0 by the wraith.
All undead templates listed above can be applied to any of the following subtypes: monstrous humanoid, humanoid, aberration, dragon, fey, magical beast, animal. This is so that racial options aren’t limited just to humanoids.
The amount of spawn you can have under your control at a time is equal to half your CHA mod, rather than twice your HD.
We are using PF rules for undead HP. Your HD are NOT automatically d12s, they are decided by your class. You add your CHA mod to your full HD to determine your HP. So a fighter with 16 CHA would have 130 HP. As a side effect of this, any race that had a CHA penalty loses it, because I don’t want orcs and half-ogres to be weaker than goblins and elves. That’s just silly.
In addition, feats are gained at every odd level rather than every third.

Re: Ain't No Rest for the Wicked (OoC)
Bagadavum, lord of rot, reporting in Dark Green. As a side note, it would be misleading to call Bagadavum a Binder. His primary class is Ebon Initiate-he has only a single level in Binder.

Re: Ain't No Rest for the Wicked (OoC)
I would like to note this is my first play-by-post on these forums. I'm quite experienced in D&D of 3.X and 4.0, but never have I played over the forums. However, I will do my best to provide an interesting and fun experience for all participants.
Regarding Kelarus LeSare, I'd like to give some insight to who he is. LeSare views life with a sense of disdain, born of sour grapes. He loathes that fateful day with Symarin. He looks upon it with a sense of shame for his failings, but also disgust that Pelor would abandon him so.
It is for that reason that he has taken upon himself a sacred mantle. He is not a ghoul, nor is he a mere priest of Nerull. Kelarus believes it is he who shall orchestrate the Final Reaping An event where all life shall perish and select few shall rise again as the undying servitors to Nerull and his faithful.
Despite his omnicidal aims rooted in a mix of megalomania and feelings of betrayal (by Pelor), his feelings towards those of fellow state of life (undead) are less hostile. He in fact feels a certain level of kindred spirits with those of fellow undeath. Not compassion, but a certain level of respect for those who are also "blessed".
He will be writing in grey, because it reflects his rather dismal outlook for the living. It also shows a certain mystique that he has. A certain--distinguished nature.
His text shall be written in grey to demonstrate his mystique, as well as his dismal perception of life.

Woot, I'm in :) Mors will speak in Red, to suggest both his bloody battle techniques, and his connection with love.

Xanthose is here as well, and she speaks in Magenta. We look like a very interesting bunch of strange people, and that's good.

Re: Ain't No Rest for the Wicked (OoC)
I wouldn't worry about it. The PoS code is pretty ridiculous, and I'm going to be pretty lenient about what qualifies as "fall worthy". I'm going to keep intentions in mind when talking about Good acts too, so saving a little boy from a fire out of the goodness of your shriveled, disembodied heart will probably cause you to fall (rise?), but saving him to trick the townsfolk into believing you're trustworthy would not.

You know, now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure my character is the only one who doesn't eat people.

Re: Ain't No Rest for the Wicked (OoC)
I'm really getting the feeling that I should have had a low roll, so I could properly dump wisdom. And I also gave the vampire template another look. One thing that really struck me were the parts about wolves, Xanthose certainly won't be using them, she is more of a cat person after all.

Re: Ain't No Rest for the Wicked (OoC)
I'm sorry, but I don't think I can keep DMing. Things have gotten a lot more busy since I started the thread and, unless something clears up, DMing is too much work right now. Again, I'm really sorry.

Re: Ain't No Rest for the Wicked (OoC)
That's really unfortunate to hear, but real life should always come first.
Unfortunately I won't be able to take up the DMing mantle, and if the others are the same, we should post looking for a new dm.Make Egypt Great Again: Waking up as Cleopatra VII Philopator My ongoing attempt at writing a story.
