That's nice. I guess we can leave the point about taking over the Creed of Stone to a future strip.

I'd remove the word "literally", though. It kind of dilutes the point's power.

I don't like it. The agenda is only voting whether to destroy or not to destroy the world. Your summary doesn't respect that (and can certainly be interpreted as "how to we plan world annihilation"). I would go with:

997: Today's ballot: Yea or Nay on destroying the world.

I disagree. We don't need the summary to be an exact and exhaustive account of the strip's events, because the intended audience is entirely made of people who have already read the comic. The number of people at risk of interpreting it wrongly is therefore zero.

I don't mind if we change the text to your proposal, though: To me, it's neither better nor worse than mine, so I would happily defer to others' opinion.

Good summary, but I remain uncomfortable about the use of acronyms. I think your earlier version, "He can talk and fight simultaneously" was better.

I personally like putting air quotes around Durkon, myself. I don't know why, exactly, but I've decided I don't like using the acronym HPoH, and have taken to writing "Durkon" instead. Seems to work for most purposes.

I think it's a good idea, and I suggest we edit past summaries accordingly.

I feel the attempt at Domination should be mentioned. Something like "1001: Roy resists Domination thanks to his ability to multitask." But I'm sure someone could come up with something that sounds better.

Perhaps the level drain should be mentioned too.

I'm of the opposite view. The summary doesn't need to get bogged down in a blow-by-blow account of every fight. That isn't its purpose. The sole purpose is to facilitate finding a particular strip from memory. Minute details only get in the way.

Actually, I think SaintRidley's entry for #1004 is more detailed than is necessary. I would go for something like:

1004: Roy has to climb after "Durkon".

(If we keep SaintRidley's proposal then we need quote signs around "Durkon").

All right, apologies for the tardiness - it's been... a fun month. That's all the summaries updated and the HPOH/"Durkon" swap made (I have no objections to either High Priest of Hel or HPOH, but "Durkon" tickles me and is sufficiently straightforward.) Wombat has also been added to the contributors section - I am pretty sure everyone who's supposed to be on there is on there, but if anyone finds themselves missing please let me know.

I'm not in the contrib list, but the substance of the 984 summary (HPOH knows...) was mine.

Also, St Ridley, that is an excellent summary and I would like to nominate it for the reciept of a Gold Star for Great Summaries.
Why should a man be scorned if, finding himself in prison, he tries to get out and go home? Or if, when he cannot do so, he thinks and talks about other topics than jailers and prison-walls?

As hilarious as Wrecan's fakeout was, I think Hel's Might is ultimately the more memorable bit of the strip, so I prefer the first summary. Will follow my usual habit of not editing it in until it's been up for a bit in case there's further discussion, though.

Unless HPOH's size increase turns out to be really important, people are going to be looking for this strip as the one where Wrecan does his fake out, not the one where the High Priest casts Hel's Might. I'd favor something like St Ridley's.

I wholly disagree. The sight of the terrifying God-sized dwarf vampire is what people will remember. If they are looking for Wrecan's trick at all, they'll still find it by association with that last panel's visuals.
