That's quite cryptic, and I don't think the pun needs to be in the summary. May I propose something more basic:

1043: Belkar needs stakes to fight vampires.

I don't think such additional detail will help anyone finding this strip in the summary list any faster. Do others feel otherwise?

DaggerPen (and everyone else helping with this), you might have noticed that I'm going to be relaunching the OOTS by Final Post Count project soon* (with permission from B. Dandelion). B. Dandelion used to include her own descriptions for the comics in the various charts, but I wanted to start from scratch on those descriptions since there will be new ones added constantly.

Well, sort of. What I'd actually like to do is have permission to use the OOTS Strip Summaries for the descriptions for the various charts that will be put in. Still deciding whether or not I want to have the option to include my own descriptions if I think the Strip Summaries aren't quite descriptive enough, but I'm leaning against it because laziness is a virtue consistency is a virtue. Plus it might not be very nice to ask permission to use these and then change them occasionally.

Naturally, I would credit this thread as the source of the descriptions in the opening post.

Anywho, just wanted to ask permission to use these Strip Summaries in the OOTS by Final Post Count project, perhaps as necessary.

    * Soon, folks, soon. But the house remodeling that is going on at Castle Porthos is taking up a lot of my free time to supervise.

Porthos, I don't see why anyone would object to your idea and reusing the summaries for that purpose.

One suggestion if I may: If you find that a given summary isn't descriptive enough, just submit a proposal for change in this thread. We'll examine it just like any other proposal, and unless it runs contrary to the objectives of the summaries, then it should have a reasonable chance of acceptance.

I say yes, simply because of how often Belkar jumps into the fray.

With the context, that shouldn't be much of a problem, but still, how about this:

1053: Belkar jumps ship and into the fray.

What about: 1053: Belkar Feather Falls into the Fray. Takes out the repetitive action specifically - jumping - and makes it unique to this instance, especially because he mocked roy with it.

    Edit: also, alliteration.

I get that Andi is a particularly annoying character, but, come on

Lack of self-awareness is obviously not a cause of the ship being trapped. The cause is lack of gas. Anyway, from a strict summary perspective, "the Mechane is trapped" is sufficient.

I disagree. It is as important to the summary that the Mechane is trapped as the fact that Andi is called out for lack of self-awareness. Push comes to shove, I'd drop the "stupid" part (because that ain't particularly new), but the "self-aware" bit is important (because it is a new development in the Andi-Bandanna showdown).

How important it is, sure, one can agree or disagree with that. Still, that doesn't remotely make it a cause of the ship being trapped.
