POLICE STATION

Inside the building there are many people at various desks. They all have something in common, a badge. This badge certifies that they are members of a squad developed and devoted to doing just one thing, stopping crime. They are the Town Police.

As you walk into the foyer you can see a large doorway on the right in what you're sure is an outside wall. Looking through it you can see a set of metal stairs leading down to some more cells. A sign above the doorway says Cell Block Extension. A sign over the front desk reads "Amulets of Trueseeing in Operation. Please leave Lies and Illusions at the door." Behind and to one side of the desk in Captain Vera's office, there is a glowing white portal which leads to Iames's planar realm.

If the police get evidence on a crime, and are able to track down the criminal, then we arrest him. The suspect will be in jail for a period of time according to the crime, after which the criminal will be released back into town. Due to rights for a speedy trial, the criminal will be held at max for 48 hours in the station if we can't settle it in court.
When arresting, police must first ask the criminal to come quietly, and then if they do not they may subdue them, using lethal force at their discretion. Criminals wanted for murder, battery, or assault should expect lethal force to be used against them.

Internal Discipline
Officers who are discovered to be neglectful or willfully derelict in their duty will be subject to disciplinary action. Infractions last for 1 month, and on officer who commits two infractions within a month will have his/her badge taken away, his/her powers as an officer revoked, and be asked to leave the force.

To Report A Crime

Police Officers will be identified by a badge in their signature. Anyone posting information in the station without a badge will be considered giving us a 'tip', but if the evidence is not collected by the police, it can not be submitted as evidence. Please LINK to the thread where the crime was committed. We play this as real time, so if we enter the building after the crime, all we can do is collect evidence/statements to prove the crime. If we are in the building while the crime is happening, that officer may make an arrest on the spot. If a crime happens, and there is no officer around, then the police don't know (although we may read OOC) that a crime happened.

The Police Force- Current Officers and Joining the force

Joining the Force
To join the police force, either find the Captain or a Detective (see below) to swear you in. A police officer will receive weekly pay of 100gp, weapons (of your choice), weapon repair, and riot gear, a desk at the station, and room and board in the station barracks should they want to.
Senior Officers receive no pay increase, but have authority over other officers (within reason). Sergeants receive 125gp/week, have authority over Officers and Senior Officers, and can deputize citizens during an arrest, while Detectives in the force receive pay of 150gp each week, have authority over the lower ranks, may deputize citizens and swear in new officers, and handle police station political matters should the captain be off duty.
The badges given to the police act as badges of Trueseeing, and allow the police officer to contact any other badge-wearer with telepathy. They can either be pinned on, or aligned with the body's magnetic field to simply hold onto the wearer.
To be sworn in, you must first pass an alignment test. We accept no officers with Chaotic or Evil alignments. Once this test has been passed, the potential officer must answer the following questions in the affirmative:

Fairies Krista and Feorwyn are about the station to help take statements, open cells to release prisoners after time is served, and make fresh pots of coffee for waiting persons. Please use as you feel necessary. Feorwyn - She is pretty darn surly for a lady. Krista -she just wants to get the work done and is always running around hecticly.
The station has been enchanted in the same manner as Trog's, so it may not be destroyed.

Cells
All cells in the station and the cell block are made of reinforced adamantine and enchanted to block all use of magic and psionics inside them. The cell doors are barred and have force in between them.
Whether the officer who jails you posts it or not, it is assumed that the faeries take all your equipment and store it in a security locker. It is also assumed that the door is locked when you are put in.

Silas wakes up. He reviews his video feeds from Trog's the previous night, and upon seeing the evil looking Destro, he starts looking through the video feeds from the streets, and outside the station.

Iames and Aerin appear in Vera's office, where they presumably find her sleeping.

Well, at least we know where she was last night, She whispers to Iames.

Silas notices their appearance, and his eyes narrow at Iames.

Alcarath the fly buzzes in and finds a good spot to view and hear everything and everyone.

Iames nods. You go on and get to work. I'm going to try and see if I can do anything about her memory loss.

Iames sits down next to Vera's desk and concentrates, trying to establish a link to Vera's mind so he can look for evidence of any tampering that might have been done.

Alcarath flies closer to Iames and Vera, scanning which spells he is using.

Aerin nods and leaves the office and nods to Silas. Remembering that Kenyon still hasn't been in to serve his time, she leaves.

Silas continues to glare at Iames.

Iames frowns. He begins to examine the barrier - not trying to penetrate it, merely to learn more about it.

Iames's mind is overwhelmingly powerful; the sheer radiance of his power blinds Alcarath to even his surface thoughts.

It is very reminiscent of Verdandi's and Aesa's Seid, but with even less magic bound into it. The spell is subtle and very well crafted.

Iames's eyes are closed in concentration, and his eyebrows draw closer together as he tries to catalogue the various power sources contributing to the effect. The violet light that glows within his eyes is visible through his eyelids, though muted.

Alcarath bristles back a bit and telepathically connects to Tinderhall, with Alcarath as a medium, Tinderhall tries once more.

((I would suggest either you noticing it (you may or may not notice the source), giving me a small glimpse, I would prefer a small glimpse into knowing that there is a dark Iames and some info on him, so I can study him more, ofc your choice))

Iames finds a very large number of sources... going through them all might take an hour or more, and even then he might not remember them all.
Verdandi slowly wakes and frowns at the sensation of Iames being slightly in her mind.

A doppelganger of Gemini appears. "The contract the police have with the Heaven's Exiles has offically as of now is void." The doppelganger disappears.

Iames twitches slightly as he notices Vera's mind becoming more awake, and as he notices the attempt to contact his mind. Rather than divide his attention, he begins to catalogue the sources, doing his best to remember them all. He damps down his power, trying to diminish his presence in Vera's mind.

The radiance of Iames's mental power is diminished, now, and not as blinding. Tinderhall suspects that if he narrows his focus sufficienty, he may be able to detect small slivers of individual thought, but perceiving an overall picture remains impossible.

Tinderhall starts to focus on the darker parts of Iames being, hoping to find secret's he may abuse.

I was worried about your memories not coming back, and Aesa seemed to think there was something wrong, too. I've found a barrier of some kind in your mind, and it seems to have been made by Seid. I'm trying to determine what its sources are.

What? Why would you do that? Verdandi seems untroubled by the thought of a barrier in her mind.

So I could take it down? It doesn't feel like you made it, either. I think it has something to do with whatever is making your memories so fuzzy.
