Skills: Knowledge (arcana) 8 ranks, Spellcraft 8 ranks.
Feats: Snowcasting
Binder Level: Must be capable of binding second level vestiges
Invocations: Hellrime Blast
Special: Eldritch Blast +2d6, May not know or learn any fire essence invocations, must have personal knowledge of the existence of Tyrannus vol Gathrik.

Class Skills: Craft (Int), Hide (Dex), Intimidate (Cha), Knowledge (any) (Int), Linguistics (Int), Profession (Wis), Ride (Dex), Sense Motive (Wis), Stealth (Dex), and Spellcraft (Int).
Skill Points per Level: 2 + Intelligence modifier

Class Features:

Weapon and Armor Proficiencies: The Frozen Adept gains no additional weapon or armor proficiencies.

Invocations: At each level except for 1st, the Frozen Adept gains an increase in eldritch blast damage, caster level and new invocations as if he had gained a level in a previous invocation-using class. He does not gain any additional class features from this class; he gains an increase to caster level and new invocations only. If he possessed more than one invocation-using class previous to becoming a Frozen Adept, then he must choose one to increase.

Binder Level: The Frozen Adept adds this PrC's levels to all his previous Binder levels in determining the number and level of vestiges he may bind, as well as to his Effective Binder Level. He does not gain any other benefits of the Binder base class. (This does not advance Pact Augmentation.)

All class abilties only function if you are bound to Tyrannus. If you are not high enough level to bind Tyrranus, you may bind him anyway by sacrificing all other binds for the day, and making the Binding DC +20 to his normal Binding DC

Venting Impotent Rage: You learn the Eldritch Cone invocation, but instead of forcing Reflex saves, it forces Fortitude saves. May only be used with Hellrime Blast.

Cloak of Frozen Hate: The character may produce glacial conditions in a 10 ft/level radius emanation with himself at the center. The temperature band in that area decreases by one step or to cold, whichever produces the colder result (See Frostburn page 9.) The frostwrought scion can suppress this effect for 1 round as a free action, but it renews automatically on his next turn unless he consciously suppresses it again. This aura has the side effect of granting him Cold Resistance equal to his class level.

Improved Hellrime Blast:When a Frozen Adept uses Hellrime Blast, instead of applying a penalty to Dexterity, it deals 4 points of Dexterity damage (Dexterity damage stacks.) As before, the Dexterity damage is negated by a successful Fortitude save. Additionally, she increases the caster level of Hellrime Blast by +1 per two levels of Frostbound Heritor.

Frostfell Invocation: As the feat Extra Invocation, except the Adept may only take invocations that deal cold damage in some fashion. Another option is that the Adept may select any spell from the Frostburn sourcebook as an invocation of the appropriate level. Upon gaining the first instance of this ability, at the Adept's option, he may replace any future instances of the Extra Invocation feat with this ability. Any spell selected that possesses an XP cost converts that into much more...nefarious means. The XP cost is divided by 10. That new number is the number of ritualistic slayings must be made before the invocation can be used.

Advanced Hellrime Blast: When a Frozen Adept uses Hellrime Blast, in addition to the other effects, the target becomes vulnerable to cold for 1 minute (Will negates). This vulnerability takes effect before taking damage from the attack. Additionally, she increases the save DC of Hellrime Blast by +1 per five levels of Frostbound Heritor.

Improved Cloak of Frozen Hate: The soul of the Adept is now solid ice of an unearthly temperature. His Cloak of Frozen Hate is improved now, lowering the temperature to the Unearthly Cold band.

Masterful Hellrime Blast: When a Frozen Adept uses Hellrime Blast, it deals 8 points of Dexterity damage on a failed Fortitude save instead of 4, and in addition the Dexterity damage is halved on a successful Fortitude save (from 8 to 4) instead of negated.

Apotheosis: As long as you are bound to Tyrannus, you gain the following effects:

-you do not age
-your type changes to Elemental with the Cold subtype, granting the standard Elemental traits (She gains Darkvision out to 60 feet. She gains Immunity to poison, sleep effects, paralysis, and stunning. She is not subject to critical hits or flanking. She need not eat, sleep, or breathe. Her Cold subtype grants her immunity to cold but also vulnerability to fire.)
-Unlike most Elementals, she can still be brought back from the dead as if she was a member of her previous creature type.
-any frostburn damage dealt to you instead heals that many hit points. If Hellrime Blast is used for this purpose, she takes no Dexterity damage from it.
-1/day, you may merge the spirit of the draconic abomination into you for (Cha. mod.) rounds as a free action. During this time, you are treated as having Abomination traits (this does not change your skill points or hit points). As part of this action, you summon 1 Chillblain (Frostburn) that follows your mental commands during this time, also as a free action. At the end of the time, the chillblain disappears and you are treated as fatigued, even if you are immune to fatigue normally.

Tyrannus vol Gathrik, the Frozen Rage

4th level Vestige-

Binding DC- 21

Binding Requirements- Must be drow, draconic, or have the Abomination subtype, and possess Snowcasting as a feat

Cold Fusion- all elemental abilities possessed are automatically Cold and do cold damage regardless of source. If the ability would do cold damage already, it instead deals frostburn damage.

Snow Calling- all vestige abilities (and warlock abilities, if any) are enhanced by the Snowcasting tree of feats and Piercing Cold feats like they were spells. Piercing Cold causes any ability it is used upon to have a 1 round penalty added to its recharge rate. (If you use it on an ability that can be used every round, you must wait one round before using it again. So on.)

Frost Lord- You may rebuke and command any creature with the Cold subtype as a cleric of your binding level, once every five rounds. As a special bonus, you may treat any ghost with Frostfell Ghost traits as though it had the Cold subtype for this ability.

Holy conflicting titles batman! A quick read shows at least 3 different class titles in the ability descriptions including; frostwrought mage, and frostborn heritor.

Seems in-line with other prestige classes etc. for the Battle for little world.

Pondering making a small change to the Vestige.

Anyone want to critique the following ability? I'm unsure if I'll add it to the Vestige or the class, but I realized that with the requirements the way they are, you can't take a level in this class until 8th level, leaving it aimed towards just splashing Binder...


Twin Wells, Same Source: While bound to Tyrannus, the Frozen Adept may count his Warlock levels as Binder levels when determining how many vestiges he may be bound to and the level of them, as well as his Binder level for using abilities.
