Help Pricing Custom Item
Please help me assign a rough price to the following custom item:
Quarterstaff +1/masterwork. When held, grants blindsight out to 30 feet.
The weapon component costs 2,600gp. A Blindfold of True Darkness is a slotted item that gives blindsight 30 feet, for 9,000gp.
How would you cost this item using guidelines in the DMG/MIC?
P.S. I am the DM, so no "ask the DM" replies please.

Re: [3.5] Help Pricing Custom Item
Core says 100% for the most expensive effect then 75% for the second most then 50% for the rest.
so i guess 9k +(2,600 * .75 = 1,950) 10,950gpLast edited by AkazilliaDeNaro; 2014-03-03 at 06:29 AM.
avatar by me!
If you are going to shorten my name go with "Akaz" instead of "Aka" its less confusing.
Also I may End up Capatalizing the BEginning of words, or mispelleing them interly.
Think nothing of it, I just REALLY suck at typing.(Those examples were on purpose, though.)

Re: [3.5] Help Pricing Custom Item
But the 9k would be increased 50% for not being a eyes slot item. So an extra 4.5k on top of that.
Technically this only mentions wondrous items, but I think it would be appropriate.Currently operating the 5e Subclass Contest and the 5e Base Class Contest. Check them out if even just to vote or give feedback, we love that in there.
