Happy GMs Day!
As GMs Day rolls around (on March 4th of each year), remember to thank the people who make your fun possible; GMs, designers (both professional and homebrew), and the players who aren't *****.

Re: Happy GMs Day!
I celebrated GM's day by running a great session of the 13th Age organized play program. We had a lot of fun, and one of my regular players gave me a PDF copy of the Numenera rulebook as a thank you! How awesome is that?
So, happy GM's day everyone!

Re: Happy GMs Day!
Huh, I celebrate March 4th as the only day that tells you what to do. Is there a relation here, or was the day chosen for other reasons?

Re: Happy GMs Day!
It doesn't, currently, make the cut of "top 150-odd notable days observed by at least a handful of people worldwide". So it's debatable whether it's "a thing" or not.
Who designated it?"None of us likes to be hated, none of us likes to be shunned. A natural result of these conditions is, that we consciously or unconsciously pay more attention to tuning our opinions to our neighbor’s pitch and preserving his approval than we do to examining the opinions searchingly and seeing to it that they are right and sound." - Mark Twain

Re: Happy GMs Day!
Of course, according to EN World, the date was picked in 2002.
Partly because March 4th is a day to March Forth and Do Something.
Here's the Official Site with a link to the original EN World thread (under Important Links in the right sidebar).Last edited by Lord Torath; 2014-03-05 at 02:16 PM.
