Lightbulb Making web comic - Advice wanted!!

Alright, first off I guess it's obvious I'm making a web comic and i need help.
1: program to make the comic itself. Can anyone tell em a good thing to use?
    This is the most important.
Once this is answered i should be good and If not, I can post what the next problem is later.
Whatever you can give me would be great.

    Thanks
Here are a few tips from me to remember:

#1:This is as true as the day I started adventuring:"When in doubt, set something on fire."

#2:Always have a gnomish battering ram when entering a dungeon with magic for reasons that i will explain some other time.

#3:IF you can manage it, put your casters in platemail, it does occaisionaly help.

Remember these tips on your journeys, they may save your life someday.

This thread really isn't that far down on the page, and it has the same topic.

When I attempted a webcomic I hand drew them and used Inkscape for coloring (I would draw over the parts in Inkscape, and set the colors to be transparent.) It had a nice look, I had thought. I didn't end up going through with it, but the method worked well. Inkscape is free btw.
