Re: OotS Style Art/Fanart Showcase II
Yet you sport an award for first place in an IA contest. I'd consider that evidence to the contrary.
Oh, and very nice Dark Prince, Zanaril Taru. I like the transparent thingy.
Alarra, your style is ever unique and enchamnting. I especially like the leprechaun.
Well, I didn't get much response from the end of the first thread, so here's some of the same stuff, plus one additional thing I made for the military dress contest. From left to right: Magma mephit Arcane Trickster for Lankybugger, Professor Callan for me, Gnome reading Hume for AKAbait, Werewolf Dungeon Master for DM77 and a Giff Major for the military dress compo.

Me thinks that I get bored of my avatars too quickly.
Here's a new one (that I'll probably use for a day then draw a new one):

Re: OotS Style Art/Fanart Showcase II
Feel the need to show off my spiffing new avi, made especially so I'll hopefully stop switching all the time. Looked better when I could zoom in, but oh well. 2nd attempt at Illustrator, btw.

That is pretty sweet, Serpentine. I like the scales and everything.
By the way, though. You've probably got your avatar set to the wrong dimensions, as it is blurry.sorry to:

Re: OotS Style Art/Fanart Showcase II
Yup, you need to set the size to 112 * 104. Otherwise, great work.

Re: OotS Style Art/Fanart Showcase II
Dagnabbit, I thought it was still 117x117. Thanks for telling me, I was wondering why it was doing that.
edit: Right, think I have the right size now. For your viewing pleasure and my showing-offedness, here's a larger version.

Re: OotS Style Art/Fanart Showcase II
Oh, so that's the reason it looked so good. You've done a huge job in the detail.
Not many avatars would stand up to that kind of size. My hat's off to you, Serpentine. My first character was a first edition thief.

Re: OotS Style Art/Fanart Showcase II
My god Serpentine...You use even more detail than me...Are you trying to kill yourself or something?
But seriously, that avatar is sweet. The only real problem I can see with it is that the hair is solid black, I'd make it a slightly lighter black than the outline...Just makes it look slightly better.
*has been watching too much Naruto lately, this is the result*
I'm really not happy with it. The arms, hair and just about everything else looks off...I don't really know why though...Last edited by Dispozition; 2007-03-19 at 05:47 AM.

Did I mention it took about 7 hours, during which there were any number of other things I should have been doing?
