Misspent Youth - Misspent Time?
Does anyone here have experience with the game Misspent Youth? I like the vibe of the game, but never played it, and the rules seem...simplistic? Loose?
Would I be wasting my time trying to decipher it?

I'm revamping my blog. slightly new look, very new name, hopefully some new content soon.
It's calledDiceroller FlicksGoblin on The Grid and it's centered around RPG themed films and other stuff I want to put up.

Re: Misspent Youth - Misspent Time?
Simple and loose indeed! That's because they're geared towards two things: resolving the conflict and grinding down the characters. The main focal point of the game isn't whether you can use sophisticated tactics to outmaneuver the other side; it's "how much are you going to give up so that you can beat the Authority?"
It's basically designed to dig into the character element of YA rebellion stories, instead of resting on the details of the situation. So that's why it's rules-lite. It's distilling away stuff to get to the core of the fight.
A friend of mine reviewed the game after some in-play experiences...I just wish he had recaps of the game itself.
Aha! Found a campaign recap here, maybe that helps?
