Belkar's prophesies.
Hmmm...
1. Suddenly the concept of Belkar killing Miko looks a lot more likely.
2. In the process of doing so, it seems that he may be incapacitated by the MoJ. Could this lead to the prediction that the OotS doesn't remember about Belkar's life expenctancy? Did he have a birthday in there somewhere?In theory, there's no difference between theory and practice, but in practice, there is.

that seems a bit too obvious going by the giants standards - and I can't believe he'd kill off Belkar now, unless OOtS were about to gain a replacement 2 weapon fighter...
Well THAT changes the equation considerably, I haven't worked out all the math yet, but I can estimate the answer as, "You're Screwed".

They are referring to the Oracle's insinuation that Belkar won't be long-lived.

The Oracle never said that Belkar would die, only that he should his next birthday cake and not bother to fund his IRA. For all we know, there could me a massive scandel involving the IRA and all the cake stores could shut down after his birthday.
