Re: "Player's Handbook" cast
Interesting choices. You picked that guy for Gimble based solely on the facial hair, didn't you?
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to imagine Morena Baccarin swordfighting with demons for a couple hours.
Why don't we have a drool smiley?Spoiler

Re: "Player's Handbook" cast
The one you picked for Mialee doesn't look nearly strung-out enough. Don't you have some mug shots for heroin addicts?

Her face is too full as well. Mialee's just skin and bones, except in some of the newer pictures.

You can't -have- a realistic Mialee. Seriously, look at her pictures--she's deformed. Her face is made out of melting clay.

Re: "Player's Handbook" cast
You're right. She'd need SERIOUS meth abuse to look like that.

Re: "Player's Handbook" cast
Urg... I don't know, a lot of the D&D women don't look all that great... I mean Lidda's kinda green-lookin' Mialee has been elaborated upon, Vadania's almost as bad except her costume isn't as ridiculous. Ember looks like a DUDE, and Allhandra... well... look at her LEG! it's much more noticeable if you view the picture upside down... seriously...

Re: "Player's Handbook" cast
I still don't get the "Alhandra leg" thing. What? Does it suggest some deep chromosomal difference? What?

Her right leg is bent in a very peculiar manner.
Deformeties aside, I don't think Morena is really 'built' enough to be Alhandra. Thanks to Veera for the avatar.

Re: "Player's Handbook" cast
Mialee has had some decent artwork. Most of the original art was pretty shoddy, but on the whole it's gotten much better in the more recent books.
On the other hand, Mialee is sometimes shown as very pale, with Morena is not. Thanks to Veera for the avatar.

Come to think of it, those of us who watch Stargate should realize that Morena Baccarin ought to play whomever the iconic Psion is.

Well, I would say "what about Devis, the 3.0 bard," but he's very obviously David Bowie. Well, a young David Bowie.

Re: "Player's Handbook" cast
Come on, Ember isn't that bad if you can overlook the veins in her arms. Lidda suffers from the same post-apocalyptic cyberpunk would-be artist that spoilt Hennet (come on! that many-buckled leg?!). Mialee, of course, is a green alien from outer space, completely beyond ugly.
Alhandra is a nice concept preposterously ruined by bad artwork. Just look at her "armor"! Sheesh! Did she glue that together from the contents of a trash can?
Who is Vadania?

Re: "Player's Handbook" cast
Ember looks a little like someone once saw a picture of Grace Jones hauling Sean Connery(or whoever was Bond in that movie) over her head and thought "Hey, that's who our Monk will be!"

Re: "Player's Handbook" cast
I actually think Micheal Jackson in drag would make a good Mialee. Or, ya know, Latoya Jackson, which may or may not be the same thing.
I play
Chickadee, wearily wandering minstrel extraordinaire in TM's Northern Kingdoms and
Mika Longshanks, fencer, sailor, forward-thinking career planner, and general daring swashbuckler in Oeryn's For the Love of the Game.

Re: "Player's Handbook" cast
I'm surprisingly happy with everyone you picked. Although, I agree that Morena is a little to.....pretty to be Alhandra. Good choices all all the other though.
Thanks to DarkCorax for the "Gnome Wizard", which holds a special place in my heart as it's the first DnD character I'd ever made.
